Don't matter. I was born here. I'm American. That's all that matters (14th. Amendment), right?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Most of them are celebrated by companies that aren't retail centers. For instance, AT&T celebrates most Federal Holidays (Presidents' Day isn't celebrated, nor Columbus day) unless, of course, you work at the AT&T Wireless store where you will be working that day...

Sounds like a good way to make it easier to spend money, perhaps unnecessarily at times. No thanks.

Whatevs. Colorado has celebrated this holiday (as a ceremonial holiday, not a day off) for a looooong time. Did you know that North and South Dakota are the only states that do not recognize Juneteenth as at least a ceremonial holiday? This means it is very likely that nearby to you somebody is out selling some awesome food and folks are celebrating even if you dislike the "made up" holiday.

That's actually true. It was Democrats that started the Civil War, KKK, and Jim Crow laws.

They both loathe the end of slavery while simultaneously trying to take credit for it. Silly wacist wabbits.

Those Democrats left the Democratic party to become Republicans a long time ago. That's how you ended up the way you are.
