You can; that's how you were taught. But you're not my senator. If you were, I'd offer elocution lessons personally. Then you'd be the winnah for sure.
Heh, where we came from it's pronounced "ant" too unless you're non-white, then it was "ahnt." Up here it's either one. The carbonated high-fructose beverage often ordered with fast-food meals is "pop" up here and "soda" down there, and "Coke" everywhere even if it's not Coke. lol

Because the voting age was still 21 in 1964, I must start with....

    1968: Hubert Humphrey
    1972: George McGovern
    1976: Jimmy Carter
    1980: Jimmy Carter
    1984: Walter Mondale
    1988: Michael Dukakis
    1992: Bill Clinton
    1996: Bill Clinton
    2000: Al Gore
    2004: John Kerry
    2008: Barak Obama
    2012: Barak Obama
    2016: Hillary Clinton
    2020: Joe Biden.

    There. I've no secrets.
    I've come clean.
I didn't vote for any of these people in Democratic primaries.
    I'll admit that as well.
Your candidate won 7 times in 14 elections.

You have only a 50% success rating.

No wonder you aren't bothered by being on the wrong side.

Losing is like an old friend to you.
The Left will cause Government of the people, by the people, for the people, to perish from the Earth.

That was 1980, right? It was a tough vote, especially for a young person.

Carter hadn't exactly set the world on fire in his first term, and Reagan was, well, Reagan.

We weren't exactly overwhelmed with good choice.

I voted for Carter again, but I was far from enthusiastic about it.
I had voted for Ted Kennedy in the primary if I recall correctly.
A sitting president was primaried. That didn't bode well for Carter.
He gets more dap as a former president which isn't a bad thing when you're old..

By 1983 I was sorry (not ashamed) that I had voted for Reagan...that was the last moment I considered myself to be a Republican.
This illegal illegitimate regime that runs America is at fault...not me.... they do not represent me and I have long objected to their crimes against humanity.

Then you know exactly why I voted for Bernie in TWO primaries. It was like voting for myself.

Hillary would have been a competent and capable president. Nobody has ever been better qualified.
I voted for her in the general because my party nominated her.

But you know how I feel about so-called centrists, 'vince.
There's just rightists with very slightly bigger brains and slightly smaller balls.
I have no use for them.

I voted for a bitch that I honestly didn't like because I knew at the very least she was capable and could do the job...plus my party nominated her.
It had nothing whatsoever to do with her being a woman. In most things, women are men with different plumbing.
She was just much too far to the right of me....a Republican-Lite like her husband.

The facts are Bernie was incapable of getting a government to function

His ideas are meaningless if he can’t get anything done

His people had been massaged by the same people massaging the republicans into the hell hole they are know

Putin would have monkeyed with anything they tried to do

And when Bernie was told that he at first denied it

And had to admit it when the evidence was too overwhelming

He just doesn’t have the character
