I joined the Tory Party in 1994 when I was living in England because I was impressed with John Major, he was a One - Nation Conservative, and my own political views were/are very similar to those of "Citizen John's" Also, I thought he was a great orator (people always scoff when I say this, but, IMO> he was both eloquent and lethal in the Commons and during PMQs, etc. On the issue of Jeremy Corbyn, he was never a contender in the race against Boris and I think every sane Englishman knew that, so really he didn't pose any kind of serious threat to England. The British PM who
did cause a lot of damage was the slippery, grinning, "Phony Tony" Blair and his devious cronies like arch spin-doctor and homosexual, Peter Mandelson (Ooops - do beg pardon -
Lord Mandelson of "Furry Cat"). Do you remember how "The Sun" newspaper nick-named him "Mandy"
. Blair, Mandelson and Co. were more like the modern-day lying/crooked/unscrupulous Democrat politicians, than ever they were
bone fide British Labour MPs, who may have been wrong about big policy issues , but at least "played straight."
