Default New Israeli PM is a right-wing nationalist

A millionaire technology entrepreneur turned nationalist politician was sworn in as Israel’s new prime minister last night at the head of a coalition that ended Binyamin Netanyahu’s 12-year tenure by a single vote.

The new government passed its confidence vote in the Knesset by the slimmest of margins, 60-59. The new coalition has only 61 members, a bare majority of the 120-seat Knesset.

Bennett began his political career as chief-of-staff to Netanyahu in 2006.

Bennett said in an inaugural speech that Biden’s intention to rejoin the nuclear agreement with Iran abandoned by President Trump “is a mistake”.

Bennett vowed that “Israel will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons”.

Netanyahu’s legacy is that he did stand up to the world leaders, to US presidents Clinton and Obama and many others. He defied the international diplomatic orthodoxies, on Iran and the "Palestinian" issue. He won battles.

When he entered politics in 1988, there was increasing pressure on Israel to end its occupation of the West Bank and allow a "Palestinian" state to be founded. That diplomatic pressure, largely due to him, has all but disappeared.

Even some Arab regimes no longer feel that the "Palestinians’" plight is an obstacle to relations with Israel, as last year’s agreements to establish diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan proved.

Netanyahu exulted in Mossad’s daring sabotage operations of Iran’s nuclear installations.

    That is all Netanyahu’s legacy.

But for now, his long era in charge is over.

No they don’t. But they are a beacon to the world at how an intelligent, well educated and highly motivated people can succeed. Those fuckers carved out a desolate small strip of land out of nothing and built a powerhouse of a country.

Obviously, guno was no part of that....
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Why would anyone want yet another Islamic fundamentalist country in the Middle East, there is enough of them already!!
