Paul Hodgkins, a Florida man who waved a "Trump 2020" flag and took a selfie inside the Senate chamber on January 6, became the second defendant to plead guilty in the sprawling Capitol riot investigation.

Hodgkins initially faced a five-count indictment that included obstructing an official proceeding, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, but he pleaded guilty Wednesday to just one charge of obstruction of an official proceeding, and the government agreed to dismiss his four other charges.

That charge carries a maximum possible penalty of 20 years imprisonment, but with his plea agreement, Hodgkins faces a recommended sentence of between 15 and 21 months.

Hopefully this will reflect the low end of sentencing. It's at least some hard time, but the punishments for treason need to be extremely severe so we can put an end to this nonsense. There are some people here who thought this would be a bunch of guys getting slaps on the wrist. It's good that they are being to disabused of that notion. These people are felons, and they are traitors. They need to be dealt with as harshly as possible.

Trump didn't 'manufacture' the doubts about the integrity of the election.

There were indications of election fraud throughout the night of the election following the closure of the polls. All kinds of irregularities were flooding the internet. It wasn't generated by Trump. These reports were happening organically and spontaneously nationwide.

Check the internet for former USAF General Thomas McInerney and what he said after the polls closed on election night.

After we all experienced the sensation of massive and widespread reports of election irregularities (which the mainstream media either down played or kept their audience uninformed of) those with the legal skills and experience to get to the bottom of this hotly contested election, did what patriots do when their country is trouble, they stepped up.

Sydney Powell, Jenna Ellis, Joe diDenova, Victoria Toensing and perhaps the most estimable of them all, "America's Mayor" after 9/11, the man who took down the NY Mob control of the tri-state area, the Mayor responsible, largely due to his controversial, "stop and frisk" police policy, for making NYC one of, if not THE SAFEST big city, the former Mayor of NY City, Rudolph Giuliani, and all the dozens of others who volunteered to do whatever was needed of them to make sure we would know if we could trust that this election was honest, and leading the team in preparing the evidence was Rudy Giuliani.

This evidence and statements from witnesses entailed processes and required travel and it was necessary so that the case could go forward. The collection and vetting process took many weeks.

If anybody knew the law, these attorneys and law professors did. And their political integrity has never been in question. They put the law and America and the American people first.

Yet none of the painstaking evidence from all across the USA of diverse methods being used, sophisticated and not, to deny Trump a second term was deemed worthy of any legal investigation.

That would seem to be the kind of miscarriage of justice or a denial of justice in a conspiracy which brings to mind billionaire George Soros' confidently stating on camera in public, some months prior to the election that, in so many words, Trump would not serve a second term.

Billionaire left-wing political donor and philanthropist George Soros has appointed Mark Malloch-Brown, the chairman of SGO, which owns the Smartmatic voting software company, to be the new president of the Open Society Foundations, his global organization.

Smartmatic is one of two companies named by attorney Sidney Powell in lawsuits, thus far unsuccessful, alleging massive voter fraud in the 2020 election, along with the Dominion voting machine company.

As the Associated Press has noted, Smartmatic does not own Dominion, and apparently only provided software to Los Angeles County in the 2020 election. Still, the fact that the firm is in the news, and that Soros is closely associated with the Democratic Party, is certain to fuel new conspiracy theories.

I believe we deserve to know, once and for all, whether the election was honest or not.

Biden needs to investigate and he needs to completely submit to an impartial panel of investigators, to include, among others on such a panel, Sen. Ted Cruz, to find the truth.

Our Republic may be only one election away from possibly falling into the abyss if we can't trust the election process.
