How Team Biden orchestrated a shorter war in Gaza

--- With lessons learned from earlier Israel-Hamas conflicts, the administration banked on quiet leverage and negotiation to bring a quicker end to hostilities ---

Aides to President Joe Biden — many of whom have worked with Clinton, Kerry or both — knew they couldn’t stop Israel from retaliating when Hamas began firing rockets at Israeli cities on May 10. They decided instead to try to make sure the fighting was as short and with few casualties as possible — in other words, more like 2012 than 2014. That required applying what they and many analysts believe were the lessons learned.

According to three people familiar with the current situation, that playbook included U.S. officials working primarily behind the scenes on the diplomatic front, especially at the start; blocking moves by the U.N. Security Council, including demands for a ceasefire; and relying on other players in the region, in particular Egypt, to do the heavy lifting on truce negotiations.

The next few days could signal whether the strategy succeeds. On Thursday, the Israeli government and Hamas announced they’d agreed to a cease-fire. The fighting is expected to stop at 2 a.m. Israel time Friday. More than 230 Palestinians and a dozen Israelis have died in the 11 days of clashes. No one expects the truce to last forever, but it’s a start.

Biden waited until Israel attacked Gaza and killed Palestinians. Pure bullshit.

It would be great if these President Biden haters would respect his years of diplomacy experience in foreign affairs versus a piece of lawlessly hacked in gutter trash of the tRump insurgency that created a utter failure there, and that cost the U.S. taxpayer dearly, in particular at tRump and his criminal family taking advantage at lining their wallets:

Biden backs Middle East cease-fire in call with Netanyahu
President Biden on Monday expressed support for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip during a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House said.

It marked the first time the president has publicly called for a cease-fire over the course of a week of intensive diplomatic efforts to ease violence as Hamas rocket fire and Israeli retaliatory airstrikes have terrorized the region.

“The President expressed his support for a ceasefire and discussed U.S. engagement with Egypt and other partners towards that end,” the White House said in a readout of the call."

Blocking moves by the UN Security Council to end the violence can only favor the Izraeli fascists . Delaying direct instructions to the Izraeli fascists to cease killing Palestinian civilians can only favor the Izraeli aggressors. Failing to act while the Izraeli aggressors were killing demonstrators in Jerusalem, firing live rounds, rubber bullets , stun grenades and tear gas into Muslims at prayer in the Al Aqsa mosque can only favor Jewish fascist extremists. Spraying Palestinians homes with sewage and dragging out female occupants by the hair in order to hand their homes to degenerate Jewish squatters can only favor degenerate Jewish squatters.
Izraeli is not a democracy. It just ain't so, Joe. You were way too slow, Joe. You've gotta go, Joe.

Video shows Israeli settler trying to take over Palestinian house
Video captures Palestinian woman confronting Jewish settler in her family home in occupied East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah.

“If I don’t steal your home, someone else will steal it,” was the answer given by an Israeli settler to Mona al-Kurd, a young Palestinian woman who accused him of stealing her home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in the occupied East Jerusalem.

The dialogue, captured on video by Palestinian activist Tamer Maqalda on Saturday, shows 22-year-old al-Kurd confronting the settler in the garden of her family home.

Prosemitism is institutionalized in Washington . It isn't a matter of blaming individuals for the disgraceful US blanket support for Jewish extremists- a total clear-out is required and the introduction of people with different mindsets. Izrael has rotted American political morality.

    No

    It’s rotted it’s own

We are not the ones making Israel a failure

Biden has a larger world to deal with and consider
