I'll have to check out Boise sometime. I was in Coeur d'Alene two years ago. Not sure I will ever get near Portland or Santa Fe, though. I've already got Portlandia.

You haven't countered my argument to where I would have to defend it however.

Very touristy, a caricature of my culture and home state filled with wealthy outsiders playing a role. That sounds way harsher than I mean it. It's just not my New Mexico.

A counter claim isn't necessary. If you can't back up what you posted, it's just a claim.

Have you ever been outside the Pacific Northwest?

it's easy to proclaim the others argument they backed up with expert opinion as no valid, but it's not a counter argument to that claim. I don't wish to continue with this silliness if you don't want to offer your own statistics that contradict mine, we can be done here. I thank you for the discussion.

If it's not validated by independently verifiable data and sources, it is just a claim.

Stating that an opinion is "expert" because you say so is meaningless and a fallacious appeal to false authority.

Cops are either defunded or not allowed to do their jobs like enforce vagrancy laws, even car theft and shoplifting are not responded to by police in my city although that should change with our newly elected mayor.
Disturbing the peace by democrats in New Orleans with the clear intent to disrupt folks eating out is common behavior.
Of course I can give more examples of the lawlessness that’s clearly happening but I think you get the point.

Is this really what you want? This is what you vote to enable.
If so, why? Why do you want to live in hell holes?

And forget whataboutisms like asking why republicans live in trailer parks. Start your own thread on that.
    I’m just curious .
Cities have high and low areas. My brother lived in Chicago's Gold Coast and it's exemplary living if you can afford it. Chicago and most settlements have their lows too. The rural lows are far off the radar though. Puppy mills, cult gatherings, illegal hunting, drugs, you name it. Cities are no more falling apart than rural areas. You can do more self-reliance living in rural areas that you can't do in cities. That greatly affects the greatest reasonings behind crimes being commited. If you had to feed a family, you'd take desperate means too.

Okay, go to Mexico if you don't like the United States.
