John Walker Lindh, who fought with the Taliban, served 17 years of his 20 year sentence.

U.S. Marine Major Christopher Warnagiris, arrested for his participation in Trump's attempt to overthrow the US government, will face, and probably convicted of, similar charges under the UCMJ. He could be doing life in prison for violating his oath and attacking the United States of America and our Constitution.
Why are their nukes kept secret? Seems that the knowledge would be a big deterrent to countries antagonistic to Israel. I think it's kinda creepy that they could launch one without notice and wipe out a population.

Remember the Rosenbergs? Most nations take national security secrets seriously.

Ahh, now you are using the Republican "attack Iran for making nukes" argument. Nukes are defensive. It sends a big message of "Don't attack us or we'll nuke you." Notice how the Arab state attacks against Israel switched to terrorism once Israel got nukes. It's why North Korea and Iran want nukes; as a deterrent to hostile attack.

Nations do what they must to survive. In this case, Israel has been under constant assault since May 1948.

I can't and won't support their excesses, but anyone on JPP who can't understand why Israel has moved to the right after over 70 years of constant attack is a person who doesn't understand people.

If anyone says the US can't retaliate for terrorist attacks, I'd say they are fucking morons. Same goes for any nation. Yes, even the fucking Russians when terrorists attack their schools.

I'm against counties attacking each other so I can't be making the Iran argument. I'm also against nukes for the US or anybody else. The damage people can do to each other without nukes is bad enough. Let's stick to pitched battles and good old hand to hand combat, if we must fight.

You fulfill the broken clock rule.

Israel was literally surrounded by enemies until relatively recently; yet they are expected to just sit there and take it when attacked by Hamas. That is expected out of no other country but Israel.

Because the Palestinians won’t get rid of Hamas most of the rest of the Middle East are done with it and them. That’s why the Abraham Accords sailed through even though it decoupled the so called Palestinian question from the peace process.

The signatories *have been ready* for something like the Accords for some time but such foreign policy ‘geniuses’ as John Kerry and our own corrupt and incompetent State Department failed to recognize it—or maybe they just didn’t want to.

They succeeded in making Jared Kushner look like a genius.

A big part of the problem is the global left and their obsession with the Palestinians. There isn’t anyone who will pressure them to get rid of Hamas and as long as Hamas stays in business bombs will periodically rain down on Tel Aviv, Israel will retaliate and around we go.

    And any excuse will do.

The world is pretty much already at destruction and tyranny.
