Getting at the root of the problem which compelled the protesters to converge, essentially unarmed, in the first place, should be goal #1.

A metaphor: Someone who shoots and kills another is guilty of murder unless the facts show he did so in self defense.

The first thing to do is to discover why he did what he did.

Same thing with the Jan. 6 incursion.

The mob says it was to overthrow the govt.

We know it was to stop the steal.

The first objective would be to understand why they did what they did.

To do otherwise is to show how fucked up Libs/Dems are.

Some of the Portland rioters have been offered Deferred Resolution Agreements which means they have to remain law abiding or the charges can be reinstated. I am sure we will see the same thing for some of the non violent ones from 1/6. But probably not for most of the people in this picture who rifled through Senate papers and disrupted the election certification.

I suppose insanity is a defense but it doesn't let them off scott free. They will have to demonstrate they now live in reality before they would be released from their local insane asylum.

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government. — Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist (#28)
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

restoration of constitutional government is not the same as overthrowing the constitutional government of the united states............that's always been a problem with you liberals and conservatives.....you equate government as the ruler and ultimate power of the USA, when nothing could be further from the truth

Lost your point. Attacking the capitol and killing a cop makes someone a patriot?! No.

is the capital filled with tyrants and guarded by tyrants? yes.........so that would make someone a patriot

unlike most of you idiot statists (read that as liberals or conservatives) I consider cops as government enforcement agents, so if government is tyrannical, so are it's agents

You assume that Right Wing patriots are insane only because you spend too much time at the elephant's ass and have never seen any other views of things.

So, that when they tell you the animal has a huge snakelike trunk, two pointed tusks and big flapping ears, which you can't imagine, your limited knowledge and experience can only conclude that THEY must be crazy rather than the more likely truth... that you are blind.
