There are many people who move to Thailand for legitimate reasons, but they can usually state those legitimate reasons quickly. Others move there for the adult prostitutes. That is not a legitimate reason, but it is not the worst reason. Then there are the nightmare foreigners who move to Thailand to have sex with children. They usually argue that minors are not "really children", or some such nonsense.

What we need is not to lower the USA to Thailand's level of having de facto legal child prostitution, but rather raising Thailand up to enforcing their laws against child prostitution.

I do not feel strongly about victimless crimes like prostitution. Legalizing prostitution might actually improve the situation. But child prostitution is not a victimless crime, and needs to stay both technically illegal, and de facto illegal.
