I agree. There is no valid scientific reason for an otherwise-healthy person to bow out. Even my immuno-compromised (she has MS) youngest daughter got the J&J a couple of weeks ago. Due to the nature of her job (she's a special ed/early childhood public school teacher), she's at a higher risk of contracting it. I hope they will approve the vaccine for little ones soon, too.

No, not really. You want to determine who is most likely to have a poor outcome (in this case, the elderly and those with comorbidities). You protect them and the caretakers first. Then work your way down the population food chain, finally ending with the children. I think they've done very well so far with the vax rollout. Our only real problems are the knuckleheaded selfish idiots who refuse.
