Vaccine hesitancy among the black community is understandable, but I don't believe that's the biggest issue in vaccinating communities of color. It's access. As with most things in this country, the rollout plan largely ignored the realities that exist in communities of color. Mistrust of the government is just one aspect, and I don't believe it's the biggest aspect.

That being said, I think you know exactly what population my statement targeted.

Thanks to social media (Facebook specifically) I get to read to read what a lot of (black) friends and former classmates say on the vaccine. So this is purely anecdotal of course but I see people say they don’t trust it. By no means am I saying this is all or even a majority of black people (or even close to that). But it was more than just a few.

So those conservations were on the brain is what I thought when you made the reference.

Fair enough. My brush was definitely too broad on that one.

Again, there won't be any vaccine "passports". Wait and see.

She said, quote “you’re not someone I was advise strongly to get vaccinated”. Even though I’m 65, I’m not over weight, not diabetic or etc. She basically left it up to me.

It’s her *job* to asses risks vs benefits for her patients and she left it up to me. My call.

    What’s that tell you?
It tells me the benefits don't outweigh the risks.

That ship is trying very hard to sail lol.

In fact, unless there’s a significant rebound in numbers I’d say the boat is already outside the harbor.

I doubt businesses are going to trust the honor system, but we shall see.
