Since race is always a topic of discussion in this country the reality is there are black people who choose not to get vaccinated due to several reasons, the largest being distrust of medicine and the gov’t. Would they also be considered anti-American or would they get a pass based on past wrongs?

Vaccine hesitancy among the black community is understandable, but I don't believe that's the biggest issue in vaccinating communities of color. It's access. As with most things in this country, the rollout plan largely ignored the realities that exist in communities of color. Mistrust of the government is just one aspect, and I don't believe it's the biggest aspect.

So this is purely anecdotal of course but I see people say they don’t trust it. By no means am I saying this is all or even a majority of black people (or even close to that). But it was more than just a few.

HIPAA doesn't stop me from sharing my information, nor does it stop you from not sharing it. You get to decide. There will be consequences if you decide not to share that information or if you choose not to get vaccinated. HIPAA has nothing to do with it.

Since ‘Biden has so many people vaccinated’ I’m trying to understand why *everyone* has to be vaccinated. I’m not and I may not—haven’t made my mind up. And guess what? My doctor was no help yesterday when I went in for my check up.

She said, quote “you’re not someone I was advise strongly to get vaccinated”. Even though I’m 65, I’m not over weight, not diabetic or etc. She basically left it up to me.

It’s her *job* to asses risks vs benefits for her patients and she left it up to me. My call.
