Certainly agreed we cannot ignore the anger. Must point out that people had to feel pretty bad about the future of America during the Civil War. That was years of not knowing if America was done or not. We might have failed; but we managed to pull through it. Times have been very bleak before. It almost seems like every generation has some big threat they live through. The Great Depression lasted a long time. Nobody knew how we were going to get through that, either. We could have lost WWII. The Cuban Missile Crisis was pretty scary. We just barely won the Revolutionary war in the first place. Somehow we keep rallying and overcoming these very daunting challenges.

    We can do it again.
All you have to do is read JPP to see how close we are to civil war. War between Americans will only widen the divide. Most of us agree that government is the problem but we will never agree on the solution. The middle class was affected by the 2008 economic collapse and once again in 2020. We can blame covid but it's really the hollowed out economy causing the anger of instability. The middle class supports and defends militarized police but that will change when their children are brutalized for exercising their constitution right to peaceful assembly to petition government for a redress of grievances.

The militarized police will eventually come for suburbia.

You won't be honest with yourself. You won't even look into the technology required to land on the moon. A mission like that depends on redundancy, yet the lunar lander was given one chance to reconnect with the Apollo command module. That means NASA was willing to roll the dice with astronauts being left to die on the moon. None of it makes sense in the real world. Government sold you a fantasy.

JPP is not representative of the USA. JPP is mostly the angry people who can put up with and/or dish out online abuse. The most extreme, least constrained voices. Most people would have nothing to do with JPP.

Anybody who wants to, can go to war with our government or whatever victims they choose. And they get their 15 minutes of fame and pay for their stupidity for the rest of their lives, if they live through the experience. The vast majority of America wants a peaceful secure life and the chance to enjoy life and be happy. They don't want to hurt anyone. It's only the people who are zoned out with sensationalist news who think the world is falling apart. Most people are blissfully unaware, and they don't care. They just want to live their lives and carve out a little slice of nice happy America for themselves. Let the extremists get on the 6 o'clock news, most peaceful Americans have a life to live. The political world is lucky if they bother to vote or care at all about what's going on. They'd rather just take it all for granted. A lotta people are so busy it's all they can do to work and take care of their life. They don't have time to get well informed, and they are not motivated to. The news, politics, and religion are seen as depressing things to talk about so they just don't.

Until your brains are blown out, it's not a proper Civil War, yet...

Are you in a hurry for us to get to that?

Do you think you're going to shoot us?

We talk about news, politics, and religion all day every day. JPP is a microcosm of the world. The anger and desperation is real, and most of us were born middle class, but only half of our grandkids will remain part of the middle class. My sister has 3 millennial children still living at home on the cul-de-sac. They lack the opportunities to make it on their own. A lot of middle class families are dealing with similar problems and deny their complicity in how we got here.

I can't believe you hung in there with me this long.

That has nothing to do with the Fed being unconstitutional. The founders had no problem with creating a national bank (except Jefferson).

No state has made anything but gold and silver legal tender and therefore states did not violate that provision in the Constitution. Banks chartered by the state do not have to belong to the Fed.

Nothing says states must use only gold and silver as legal tender. It says states cannot make anything else legal tinder.

Over 100 former Republican officials will sign a letter on Thursday declaring that if the Republican Party does not break with former President Donald Trump and change course, they will back the creation of a third party.

The letter, headlined: "A Call For American Renewal," is an exploratory move toward forming a breakaway party, two of its organizers said. The group is dismayed by what it says is a modern Republican Party driven by its allegiance to Trump, who continues to falsely claim the 2020 election was stolen from him.

"The Republican Party is broken. It's time for a resistance of the 'rationals' against the 'radicals,'" said Miles Taylor, one of the organizers. Taylor, while serving in the Trump White House, wrote an anonymous opinion piece in the New York Times in 2018 headlined: "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration."

The group first raised the threat in February, following the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters to try to disrupt congressional certification of Democrat Joe Biden's presidential election victory.

No doubt you have it all figured out. If so, then please tell me why the Soviets, Red China, Britain, Germany, France and Japan all continue to support the conspiracy.

I will say you are correct that squabbling right and left is counterproductive. We don't have a govt and congress doing what's best for the country, we have 2 parties doing what's best for themselves.
