Precisely! Some type of UHC is inevitable and the affordable care act was only step 1.

No it was not possible. The care act never would have passed with a public option included. Obama knew that.

Barr, found that there was no widespread fraud. Trump’s insistence that the election was stolen incited a mob of insurrectionists to storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Despite the lack of evidence, 139 Republican House members, including McCarthy, voted to challenge election results.

Geoff Kabaservice, who chronicled the transformation of the GOP in his 2012 book, “Rule and Ruin: The Downfall of Moderation and the Destruction of the Republican Party,” said in an interview that party members are clinging to Trump’s false claims about the election to protect their own reelection.
“These people are afraid of their base,” Kabaservice said. “They know that if they actually come out and forthrightly tell these 70 percent of Republicans who believe Joe Biden did not legitimately win the election, that the base will turn against them, that they’ll end up with a primary challenge, Trump himself will get involved and they’ll lose and they’ll be out of politics.”

Big Pharma and Big Insurance are just too powerful for either party to go up against alone. The only way to counter that kind of power would be a groundswell of grassroots power driving both parties to join together against big corporate America.

Big corporate America pits the parties against one another, alternately threatening to support the other to get whatever they want from either. And they donate to both parties so they both understand the threat is real. They don't dare go against it. No individuals can go against it, nor a small coalition. It would have to be the majority of both parties.

That's why we don't have single-payer or a public option. And even though Joe Biden made a public option a plank of his platform, it won't happen because it lacks the overwhelming support it needs. What he really meant was: "We can do this if everybody is on board, and I'll be glad to lead that." If he follows through and tries to get legislation, he will run into a brick wall, and he will give it up. I would be surprised if he ever sends down any such suggested legislation.
If the midterm election leaves the democrats in charge with a larger majority I think it's entirely possible. The country wants it even if the repubs in congress don't give two shits what the country wants.

You're not a Klan member, Son?

Let's check; you're pro-Trump and believe the election was stolen, but you didn't support overthrowing the results.

You're anti-black, hate BLM yet claim to not be member of the KKK. Are you a member of some other White Supremacist group, Son? Not that I expect you'd leave your basement to help them. You're an idea man, right? You never get your hands dirty? LOL

And the democrats I am sure thank you for your support.

I'd rather split and follow a Rino party than stay in a "tell stupid easily detectable lies all the time right to their faces" party filled with only nitwits and degenerates

I have a distant relative that was avid about trump. Used to call saying trump trump trump trump, trump trump trump trump. After Jan 6 he called and apologized. He said he was embarrassed to ever have supported him.

They can thank the Republicans for fucking up so badly former members won't vote for them. Note that people like myself won't be voting for Democrats either.

That’s too bad. I would vote for a good Republican. I would vote for a good Independent, Green, or Libertarian. I vote for people who support my values. I put country over party.
