Default More than 1,000 gas stations run out of fuel

More than 1,000 gas stations in the Southeast reported running out of fuel, primarily because of what analysts say is unwarranted panic-buying among drivers, as the shutdown of a major pipeline by a gang of hackers entered its fifth day Tuesday.

And so it begins, Carter-era gas lines around the block...which I predicted already.

It's coming again, thanks to O'Biden.

Could swear cars were a bit more modern, though.

In my day it was a bit later..

Granted our vehicle was a 71 Yellow Impala, but the date was later with the gas lines around the block.
You could only get 1/2 a tank. That's all you were allowed to buy.

Gas went up to $1.40 back then

In 1973 and again in 1979, drivers frequently faced around-the-block lines when they tried to fill up.

Drivers would go to stations before dawn or late at night, hoping to avoid the lines.
