Default California's public housing for the homeless boondoggle

LA starting in 2016 started trying to house more of the homeless using a government funded program to build housing for them. They spent $1.2 billion to build 10,000 apartment units of housing for this purpose. After five years, countless delays, cost overruns, and the usual graft with the apartments--studio and one bedroom-- running over $700,000 a unit, and 40% of the money going to lawyers, consultants, fees, and permits, the program has turned into a complete quagmire of corruption, fraud, and waste.

"Housing First" as the program is called is another Democrat debacle in big government.
