Default The "experts" blow it again: Jobs Report

266,000 new jobs (likely to be revised down next month) is not a million.

Are they incompetent, or are they liars?

Not just....the Chip shortage is getting worse fast, and that is not the only massive supply chain problem.

Another cloud on the horizon is that it is beginning to feel like China is going to take care of Taiwan sooner rather than later, Taiwan being a major chip supplier. There was another warning about this from the American military establishment the other day.

Trump loses and suddenly Armageddon is upon us, unfortunately for the alarmists, the overwhelming majority of Americans don't think so, and they are correct

Bottom line, and a tough reality for the right to accept, is that some day, probably sooner than we think, Covid will fade, and the economy consequently will bounce back, and Biden as President will be getting the majority of credit

Well still have a lot of work to do to come out of the recession your 2017 tax cut caused.

I would like to see our best data experts going through the government numbers over say a 20 year span, looking to see of the numbers we are getting are increasingly bad and thus increasingly in need of revision. My sense is that the government is getting worse at this, as the government is getting worse at just about everything that they are supposed to be doing.

I partially agree ... however, I would add that numbers that are inflated to make an administration look good may have a tendency to be purposeful. This is predicated on knowing joe-six-pack has a short attention span and a shorter memory

Ya, lots of lying takes place now, especially from the Regressives who argue that truth does not even exist, and that if it does it is less important than saying what needs to be said to get power......But....I have been seeing over the last years claims from people who might know that competence at number generation with-in the government is on the decline....that the people who do it increasingly dont have the capacity to do it correctly.....to do it as well as it used to be done.

    Nope.

Your shitty tax cut plunged manufacturing into a recession for all of 2019:

U.S. manufacturing was in a mild recession during 2019, a sore spot for the economy
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...-spot-economy/

And then the rest of the economy followed a year later, plunging into a recession in February 2020, before any COVID lockdowns started. So you can't blame COVID for the recession that started before the pandemic started:

It's official: Recession began in February, ending longest U.S. expansion ever
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/united-...rted-february/

Ouch, how embarrassing for you and everything you supposedly stand for (but probably don't because why would you?).

    The stats don't lie.

A year after the tax cut started, manufacturing plunged into a year-long recession...and then 12 months after that, the rest of the economy followed.

All thanks to your shitty tax cut.

    Here's the truth...

You all promised your shitty tax cut would lead to growth of "at least 3%".

The reality is that you never hit that growth target, and instead you plunged the economy into a recession because none of you know what the fuck you're talking about.

It's no coincidence that every single Conservative President over the last 50 years has left their successor an economy in chaos.

    Every.

    Single.

    One.

From Nixon leaving a cratering economy to Ford to leave it to Carter...

From Reagan/Bush the Elder giving us three recessions, Black Monday, the S&L scandal, and the largest taxpayer bailout of all time until....

Bush the Dumber destroyed the economy with his tax cuts and deregulation, gave us the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression, and the largest taxpayer bailout of all time until....

Trump came along and caused a pandemic that only made the recession his 2018 tax cut caused even worse, and the largest taxpayer bailout of all time.

That's what Biden got to inherit.
