Chilling if true, but there's the politics of the Hill and there's the US courts. The state of NY will be very interested too.

Charging a person for the same act in two different jurisdictions was once considered double jeopardy and thus beneath us.

    Back when we were better.

The same act? Get a clue, #10; Rudy is facing multiple legal by multiple groups in multiple courts, federal and state, civil and criminal.

No, you missed the point, Trump knows that after January 6th he is never ever going to be convicted of anything that will table or even delay his plans, and he is correct

Trump is immoral and teflon. He has tons of retards who adore him. He wont pay a penny and Rudy will eat it.
So Trump will stiff Rudy, Rudy will roll and it won't matter. Trump will never have to face consequences for anything he ever did or does.

Exactly, as noted, Trump can do anything he wants knowing a major political party and national news network will defend him regardless, January 6th proved that, he is as bill barr preached, above the law

Trump thinks all sorts of stupid shit. What Trump "knows" is often wrong. Sure, the Republican leadership want to be on his good side, but the Republican ship is taking on water. 2022 will either give the Democrats a tighter grip on Congress or see one or both sides of Congress flip red. Not by much, but it'd still be the Republicans running the committees.

That said, I fail to see how the Republicans can continue to spout the same Trumpian bullshit and gain votes. Americans may be slow but they aren't stupid.

I'd bet against that. It's one thing to look the other way, it's another to be part of the conspiracy.

Conundrum for Trump, are his conversations with Rudy protected or not? He claims Rudy is not his lawyer, so how can he claim lawyer/client privilege?

There is no GOP, Republicans aren’t doing anything in any directions on anything without Trump’s blessing, he owns it, one hundred percent.

And Trump doesn’t have to think it, it is true, he is above the law, January 6th proved it, he can pretty much do anything he wants without worrying about consequences

Short of that actual murder on 5th Avenue Trump referenced back in 2015, he can literally get away with anything, as I noted, regardless of what he did, he will have a political party, news network, and close to forty percent of America defending him

It is a hard reality to accept, one few Americans would hate to recognize, but a truth none the less

Agreed the GOP effectively killed itself. It was mortally wounded during the 2000 election, but the assholes who elected and supported Trump to the end killed it.

Regardless, all Republicans, and Democrats for that matter, have to win reelection. Election is up to their constituents, not the Stable Genius.

Time will tell but I'd bet against it. Again, it's one thing to look the other way and another to be an active participant in corruption.

My understanding is that if Rudy was part of the conspiracy, all privilege is lost.

Remember OJ's friend and initial lawyer? Me neither but he quit and OJ hired his "Dream Team". The suspicion at the time was that OJ confessed to his friend that he was all coked up and murdered Nicole. No lawyer can say a person is innocent if they are known to be guilty. They can plead insanity, self-defense,whatever but not "100% Not Guilty". This is why his friend removed himself as counsel, but helped pick the "Dream Team", some of who were also OJ friends.
