    Default Hey How Ya Doin

Just wanted to formally announce my arrival.

    Here's what I believe:

We in the USA now live in a soft dictatorship.
It evolved over many years but now it is out
in the open for all to see.
    I call it a *Techno-Oligarch Dictatorship.*
As with all dictatorships, as resistance grows,
so will the measures of severity to maintain.

    Cheers,

    Marco

    Welcome.

I agree we need to coordinate to counter the power of big money and corruption of our government.

I'm a polite poster in what can be a very impolite place.

Many are happy to observe manners and find it refreshing, so being polite in this place has it's place.

I am a socially liberal and fiscally conservative Democrat.

I favor heavy taxation of the rich to balance the budget, and ample government programs to offset the poverty caused by capitalism. I voted for President Biden and Vice President Harris.

I also favor effective regulation of capitalism (as opposed to the corrupt regulation written by the big corporate oligarchs for their own benefit.)

Capitalism works but abuses do need to be tempered. The worst thing that Washington has done is seemingly doing away with monopoly laws.
Yes there is too much big money in politics. I voted for Trump 2 times and believe Biden is a mere puppet who is being steered by the far left ..... I've said many times that this is a 3rd Obama term.

Capitalism is a powerful engine of ingenuity. But like any engine it must be governed or it will blow up. Therefore, as capitalism grows and refines itself, so must government grow and increase it's power to control capitalism.

We have capitalism and socialism working side by side very effectively in most countries, including the USA. The challenge is to get the balance right. Neither system would work very well without the other. Some say capitalism has brought us the highest standard of living ever. But what they overlook is that the minimum wage, 40 hour week, Social Security, and government assistance programs were actually what has lifted millions from poverty in the USA.

You are a laughably pretentious Pollyanna.

Marco, in turn, doesn't show evidence of the slightest clue as to what's wrong with our republic.
