After about six hours of debate, the Texas Senate passed a permit-less or constitutional carry bill, 18-13.

Under House Bill 1927, Texans 21 and older would no longer need a license, training, and to pass a test to carry a handgun in public.

That’s already the case when it comes to long guns.

Supporters say most people who buy a gun will still need to pass a federal background check.

Senator Charles Schwertner, R-Bryan, who laid out the bill said, “We cannot allow another session to come and go where we paid lip service to the second amendment while failing to fully restore and protect the rights of citizens granted by the constitution.”
    ROFLMAO. The Democrats are pissed.

About 30 years ago when states were loosening up concealed carry laws for ordinary citizens (not just the rich) Democrats were screaming about "blood in the streets" and daily gun battles. Well, sure, in their drug-ridden shithole Blue cities, but not by lawful citizens.
Stripping Americans of their rights, regardless if inalienable or unenumerated, is against American ideals

It's legal to yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater. You are also responsible for the consequences of doing so.

If I want to own Stinger missiles, it is constitutional to do so.

All valid legal preclusions are not identified in the US Constitution.

They will mostly go after the Biden supporters.

Most businesses, government offices, etc. will still prohibit weapons.

I took a double-barreled shotgun to school in 6th. grade (after asking the hunter safety training game warden). In fact, at dinner tonight I reminded my mother about it. She said she remembered.
Yeah, one or two libturd teachers looked at me funny, but other than their crazed looks, there was no problem whatsoever. No one said a damn thing and I didn't shoot anyone!
In HS, many of us left our hunting guns in our (sometimes unlocked) cars so we could go hunting after school. No one shot, or even threatened anyone.

What has changed? Why has it changed?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

What is constitutional about perverting the intents of 2nd amendments rights when some maniac has the privilege to carry semi automatic weapons of mass destruction that did not exist when 2nd amendments rights were established 200 years ago, unless they are willing to carry muskets.

Civilians were permitted to own cannons in those days. Weren't cannons considered the "mass destruction" weapons of the day?
What would you say if I had a cannon in my front yard? Would you cry?

Constitutions are not preclusions at all. You still have no idea what a constitution does.

Presentism fallacy. It does not matter what weapons exist. The right of self defense is inherent. The 2nd amendment does not allow the federal or State governments to infringe on an individuals right to own and carry ANY WEAPON. It doesn't matter if it's muskets, machine guns, cannon, tanks, nuclear bombs, ANYTHING.

People still own cannons, and they shoot them. People own bombs too. I make them for entertainment purposes. There is no phrase in the 2nd amendment or anywhere in the Constitution mentioning a 'mass destruction' weapon or giving any government the power or authority to limit them.

what, in your opinion, is the intent of the 2nd Amendment????
In a combat situation it is about 16 times better to do something useful and violent right away than to wait and figure out something even more useful and violent later.

Right now, it gives the United States of America a pathetically inefficient form of government [bad].
It also provides in its amendments a Bill of Rights [mostly good].

Other democratic nations have both rights and functioning government.
We could only dream of that.
