AZ Republicans have fought like hell to do a hand audit of ballots in Maricopa county for months. Democrats have fought like hell in trying to block it [why?] and now a judge has given them a green light.

I’m frankly skeptical it will turn up significant fraud—but that’s just a guess since I’m like everyone else and have no idea. But the way the left is acting might be a clue that something was amiss on Election Day in AZ.

It might be because democrats are privately insecure about whether Biden won a fair election. Or it may be they know something. If they were secure about it, the proper response would be to stand aside and allow republicans to make idiots of themselves.

Not saying I believe it, although I REALLY wish it was true but there are internet rumors about watermarks being placed on all legit ballets as they were printed. Rumors that ballets being looked at with UV light. Just rumors though....most probably bullshit. But boy oh boy would that be something if true. Kinda no way out of that one!

Stopping democrats on federalizing election laws is fighting corruption.

I agree with fighting for principle *until* the fight becomes a poor strategy going forward. The risk is the AZ recount will be another fail and it will provide democrats with campaign fodder going forward into 2022.

That’s why I said the best strategy for democrats would be to stand aside and let the AZ audit proceed and get the narrative ready for when it fails—because that is what I would do. But they are doing just the opposite. They are setting up a narrative about how the ballots left chain of custody in order for the hand audit to occur. IOW, they are acting as though they need to be prepared—just in case.

It is because it is a political move meant to undermine the credibility of President Biden and the election.

The election is done. It is over. It was checked and rechecked. Biden won. Biden is the president. This audit is doing nothing more than throwing red meat to the mixed up doubters who refuse to accept the fact that Biden won.

It's not bipartisan. It is not even independent. Republicans hired a strong outspoken Trump supporter to do it, and they shut out reporters so the public can't even monitor what's going on. That, btw, was what Trump argued was wrong with the PA election count, that monitors were not being given fair access to the process.

One reporter was allowed in early on, noted the wrongful use of blue pens, and was promptly thrown out, along with all other reporters.

The whole thing is a ridiculous stunt and a distraction from running the pressing business of the nation. The AZ election has already been certified. That certification is the end of it. This stunt will change nothing. Certified is certified.
