The way Bret Weinstein, who like me refuses to give up the progressive label even though the critical race theory marxists who swiped it say that we are not allowed to use it, puts it is that because of technology mostly our tools are now so powerful that if we dont upgrade our thinking it is all over for us. We use our tools poorly, and that has to change. Those of us who got educated understand that the reason the scarred are turning in their freedom for the sham promises of safety that the UTOPIANS offer are real problems, but I along with Bret disagree about what to do about it. Being scared and stupid and being willing to let tyrants enslave us is not the answer. The answer is for all of us to attempt to get better and then coming together to make some community decisions about how to plot a course forwards. We both agree with Jordan Peterson, if you want to fix the world know that this project starts with fixing yourself. Start with cleaning your room. I come to this from an abuse background, I have seen so much abuse in my life and I came to understand that the ones who excel after having suffered at the hands of others are the ones who improve themselves. I also have learned the hard way that I cant fix anyone else, I can only fi me. The UTOPIANS dont understand this, in fact the UTOPIANS of the American Left have become hard core abusers, the opposite of what they claim to be.
