I have been saying often over the last few years that we are deep into the next Dark Age. I got the first clue that we were in a Dark Age when in 1994 I was in a great independent book store while visiting Minneapolis and I found this book which probably few people ever read arguing that we were then in a Dark Age. I sat down and started skimming and I kept skimming till my Aunt wanted to go. I was intrigued and I was disturbed that it was so plausible, but in the end I said "Well maybe someday, but I dont think I will have to live through it, certainly things are not disintegrating that rapidly".

Well After Iraq and after the Great Recession I changed my mind.

Also, it's standard procedure to separate a prisoner who is highly likely to be assaulted. Certainly not special treatment.
