Default Minnesota law is weird. [It's flyover country, after all.]

Chauvin was guilty as hell, but how could the same homicide be three different crimes?

Normally, in most states, a conviction will be returned for the most serious charge on which the jury can agree.

Our federal system is in my opinion absurd. 50 states. 50 different sets of felony statutes.

Exactly...but in this case the jury had no choice....they knew what would happen...to the city, the country and more than likely to them and their families, if there was any announcement of "not guilty"....

The jury followed the law as it exists in Minnesota.

My point is that in almost any other state, at least the ones with which I'm familiar, the jury has completely different instructions for returning their verdict.

Ok...interesting....This was a strange trial, for sure...thanks for the info...
Why do you think they weren't sequestered?

    They were sequestered for deliberations.

Minnesota didn't have the budget to spring for the expenses, probably.

Pissed off inconvenienced jurors order filet mignon and expensive wine from room service.
    That's just a fact.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. Your reading comprehension sucks. His point was about ALLOWING someone to be convicted of multiple charges. I don't think Minnesota is that unusual in this regard. People are often convicted of multiple counts of the same thing, or multiple offenses. I'm not a legal expert, but it seems like when you hear about these cases, sentences will be concurrent or consecutive, so there are often multiple charges. It also appears that in the Chauvin cases, the sentencing could become longer if 'aggravating circumstances' are present.

So, returning to what you said, your position is an insult to the jurors. They did their job. If Chauvin was guilty of second degree murder, the other charges were pretty much no-brainers. Your hero is a murderer. He's going to jail. Your support for him speaks volumes about your character.
