Where does one even start with this.
Let’s start with race. Apart from the fact Floyd was black and Chauvin is white what did race have to do with it? There is no coherent answer for that question. If you think you have one I’ll be happy to hear it because I’ve yet to hear it.
‘Milestone’ implies progress. Progress towards what? Anyone who thinks the Floyd case or Chauvin’s conviction is going to change anything is delusional. If anything, it represents a regression in race relations. It can easily be argued that [because he’s a white cop] Chauvin didn’t receive a fair trial because if the jury wasn’t intimidated then they weren’t paying attention—or maybe they are truly brave souls intent on doing the right thing regardless of the consequences to their homes, their jobs and their lives.
Such a quick verdict even in light of Floyd’s toxicology report? Gimme a break. That jury was intimidated.
Maybe it will lead to less black men who are killed by white cops [when they are killed by black or minority cops it doesn’t matter?]. If you think that—think again. And the reason is painfully obvious to many of us.
It’s because it has nothing to do with race. 99.9% of these bad outcomes would disappear off the face of the planet if more black men would simply stop resisting arrest. It’s exactly that simple. Nothing to do with slavery or ‘structural racism’ or whatever it’s called this week. Just less black men resisting arrest. How do we get that to happen?
Until the country is ready for that conversation the next George Floyd or Michael Brown is waiting in the wings.
And around we go. But maybe the Marxist BLM leader will be able to add to her real estate portfolio.

It's police conduct and it's legislation. Let's have a Review of what we want our police to do.
My gripe is the Nixxon 'No-Knock' Law. Where Police can kick your door in at 2 in the morning.
I support the 'Your Home is Your Castle' point of view. You know, if you want to talk to me, ... knock on the fucking door.
Breonna Taylor got killed over this. BlackLivesMatter burnt down some Businesses in Louisville, Kentucky.
David Koresh got killed over this. WhiteLivesMatter blew up a Building in Oklahoma City.
The WHOLE idea behind the Second Amendment is to address an Oppressive Government. So ... time for Legislature to start reassessing how they want to treat American Citizens.
Any thread that is premised on the idea that this was not a fair trial should be summarily dismissed.
Run along and play, Darth.

Let's have a review of what we want US as a society and civilization to do............do we look at the Chauvin verdict as an intimidated jury making a decision to save their city at the expense of one of it's enforcement agents, or do we look at it as an acknowledgement that we the people are intelligent and KNOW when a crime is being committed by a law enforcement agent? Do we allow one of our fellow citizens to take action to prevent such action by it's government agents or do we let them run amok and hope that one of the co-equal branches of government WE CREATED try to hold some accountability, even at the expense of the lives of one or more of our fellow citizens?????
we need to really look at how we want to live as a society, not just be ruled by a monster we created and didn't control
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
"99.9% of these bad outcomes would disappear off the face of the planet if more black men would simply stop resisting arrest."
So....the protestor who was shot on 1/6 would have avoided a bad outcome if she simply didn't try to break through a window to storm the House chamber...right?
What an interesting double standard.

There was only one verdict the jury could reach and that is what they did. Chauvin had 17 charges of excessive force filed against him by blacks and whites alike. That right there shows he shouldn't be a cop. But the most damning thing was the video of him with his knee on Floyd's neck even after he had been subdued and cuffed. In a way I am glad Floyd was black because if he had been white this whole thing might have been swept under the rug. We have a race problem in this country and it comes from both sides. Let's treat everyone as equals and get over this antiquated thinking.

We can answer that. Tony Timpa in Dallas died the same way in 2016. He was white and thus didn't get the coverage. The problem here is the media chooses to only focus on incidents when it's white cops and black victims. Therefore it can almost be understandable people believe outrageous claims about who police officers kill because it's all they are exposed to. (and to be clear I'm talking about deaths. Harassment is a separate story.)
No such thing as jury intimidation in your little world, apparently.
Maybe business owners in Minneapolis could give the jury a free night on the town. Maybe even give Mad Maxine and Biden a free night at the Holiday Inn Express for their contributions.
It was a team effort, after all.

It's not in the purview or power of the federal government to interfere with the policing of any state............the state legislatures must deal with that.......but that still doesn't answer the main dilemma.....do we as a society defer to the government to police it's own agents or do we the people take our power back?????
