Hello BartenderElite,
Thom Hartmann said if you take the Johnson and Johnson vaccine you have a 1 in a million chance of getting an extremely rare blood clot. But if you are hospitalized with COVID, you have a 1 in 20 chance.
The other thing people don't realize is life itself is a risk. Yes, you are taking on some odds by choosing to get the vaccine. You are also taking your chances with the odds if you don't. We will soon have a majority of Americans vaccinated. Those who refuse will be the outliers as the rest of the nation bonds together to fight the virus in this act of bravery and dedication to the nation.
All loyal Americans should take one or two in the arm for their country. And it feels good to know the protection is there after doing so.
I support a vaccine passport system of requiring proof of vaccine to participate in certain indoor activities which would otherwise have a high risk of transmission. This encourages everyone to get the vaccine. That makes it more effective.
Israel has done that - with a high degree of success. Their curve was high, they required proof to do things and they brought it way down, brought it under control. A picture tells the story:

Our problem is instantly evident when we compare our situation.

Ouch. We've got work to do.
We leveled the curve but we didn't want to do that. It was on the way down. We needed to keep doing what was effective. It was too soon to open up. Now it looks like we are going to have another wave.

As tempting as it may be to play the hypocrite ignorant redneck card, I won't punish this clown admitting he was wrong.
Good for Nugent. His musical act was tasteless low brow garbage for morons.
He said he thought he was dying.
I have never had a flu in my life which left me struggling to get out of bed and made me think I was dying.Nugent said the virus had left him struggling to “crawl out of bed the last few days” and that he thought he was dying.

I give up. Why do you care about this? Why "again"? The article is dated 20APR21: https://www.rawstory.com/ted-nugent-19/
Some people like this:
"Everybody told me that I should not announce this," Nugent says in the video. "I have had flu symptoms for the last 10 days. I thought I was dying -- just a clusterf*ck."
"I was tested positive today, I got the Chinese shit," Nugent added. "I've got a stuffed-up head, body aches. My God, what a pain in the ass. I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days… So I was officially tested positive for COVID-19 today."
