Default Something Amiss in Male Dominated Gun Culture.

Why is it that gun culture is nearly totally dominated by males? We are long past men running everything except child raising and cooking dinner being the answer.

Not all males of course, only some.

Might it be that something is amiss with these guys?

Let me guess, you think you're an exception...enlightened?

In other words, you figure I'm in neither group, not part of the gun culture and not not part of the gun culture. Seems in keeping with your mental state you would be LYFAO.

Mothers' boys can believe they are men in America if they play with their bang-bangs all day long - it's a cultural thing, built up by gun-merchants. Women, by and large, seldom feel that inadequate.

does the OP mistakenly believe that men with guns don't like women with guns?.....

From the linked article ——> “Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, you've likely heard women are responsible for a lot of growth in the shooting sports. A recent study found that the growth in some shooting disciplines is nearly 200 percent.”

A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

So you're saying it's inadequate for a woman to provide for her family? Stupid bigoted foreigner
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

I like the UK, have enjoyed my visits, and am not trying to be argumentative.

Prior to being inducted into military service, I used to enjoy my sporting arms as a hobby.
I didn't play with them all day long.
I didn't even aim them at living creatures, large or small.
I regarded them as I regarded my golf clubs and my bowling ball.
The sport in which I was competitively rather than recreationally engaged involved enough bloodletting that I didn't seek it in other activities or venues.

But unlike the UK which no longer had conscription, my government decided that I was a soldier and sent me off to war.

That's when I was introduced to a weapon that was unlike any of my sporting arms and was meant specifically to aim at human beings.
When I got home, I wasn't quite so much of a firearms enthusiast.

Still, the United States, for all of her flaws, trusts her citizens to bear privately owned arms.
    That's got to mean something.

The last use of arms around here for political purposes was the Chartist March on Newport, way back in the Nineteenth Century, when those who were prepared to fight for democracy were gunned down by Irish troops, so the basic argument used by Americans doesn't work for us. Our main argument for using guns is poaching - when I was a kid and visited Cardiganshire, I was baffled to know why everyone refereed to our car by our registration number, but found out later that it was the way they identified game wardens. I'm old enough to have done Narional Service - they didn't need to teach me to shoot because my Dad used to borrow a shotgun to eliminate rabbits in our fields, but they did anyway, but mainly they taught me Chinese. We found out the only way to deal with mass-murders was to get much stricter about gun licences, and it's worked. End of story, as far as I know.

You guys are more vicious than we are!
Bunny rabbits run freely in my back yard--right here in the city--and even my dog doesn't bother them.

Even as the world continues to shrink, cultural differences remain.
Since the UK used to control Hong Kong, did they teach you Cantonese?
Most of our restaurants speak Mandarin.
