Agreed. US law is based upon English law which, in turn, is based on Blackstone's Ratio. Too many assholes want to politicize justice, which is the same as advocating political prisoners.

That said, looking at the facts and the testimony, it's clear Chauvin killed Floyd out of negligence at a minimum. Intentionally at worst, but only he knows if he wanted Floyd dead.

The Prosecutor's case was easy since everything was recorded and the facts backed up by testimony from Chauvin's superiors and medical personnel.

I don't think you can compare OJ and Chauvin because one is on video literally murdering someone and the other wasn't, and didn't have any real evidence that connected him to the scene.

But I do believe the theory that OJ's son killed Nicole and Ron, and OJ covered for him by taking the fall.

And I don't disagree with any of this (other than the "murdering someone" part)...but my point was to the public's opinion at that time ... and this time and how neither had/has any bearing (and shouldn't have) on the 12 people deciding right now.
