Background checks are done. People with carry permits have been checked out even more thoroughly. Of course, with all the Liberal gun-grabbing bein the rage again, States are pushing back by easing up on the requirements.
IMO, it's political extremists like yourself and your counterparts who are causing 90% of the problems.
