From the whitest state in the country. With the largest amount of white supremacist groups in the country. A bit confused to say at the least.

Actually it is not a fail. When your salary has taxes subtracted from it, does it matter after that who spends it? The concern should be WTF is it spent on.

Agreed 100% that how taxes are spent is the foremost concern.

Despite Taft's penchant for being a Drama Queen, he's correct in raising the bullshit flag on the OP. Moon is grossly distorting the problem. Being a foreigner, I consider him an unregistered foreign agent and America-basher.

I didn't know that the government distrusted its civilians that much.
It's a statistic of which any fascist state would be proud.
Well consider the insurrectionist domestic terrorist that tRump and his GOPers conspired to attack the Capitol and other mass murdering domestic terrorist on a rampage, is all the more reason to hold a hard line look on society in terms of the good guys versus the enemy from within. I agree with your complication of facts in comparison to U.S. police departments at supposedly defending communities of a massive nation of the U.S. with a over 300 million population, the U.S. military has a higher budget in order to defend Democracy, foreign interests, allies and other areas of the world against foreign and domestic enemies that are actively conspiring to destroy Democracy from within and anything else of a civilization on Earth:

The U.S. spends more on defense (over $600 billion) than the next seven countries combined, accounts for 15 percent of the federal budget – representing half of all discretionary spending. Despite The Heritage Foundation’s 2018 Military Strength report finding the United States’ military posture “marginal,” trending towards “weak,” importantly, it concedes that “the current U.S. military force is likely capable of meeting the demands of a single major regional conflict while also attending to various presence and engagement activities.” The report, Congress, and military leaders all cite combat “readiness” as the major factor in the military’s downward trend, but those numbers are easy to manipulate."

If you want to compare police expenditures you should devise your own chart. Good luck with that.
That raises three salient questions: Yeah? And? So what?

We spend was more per student on education per pupil than other countries and get worse results.

It's very simple, if you didn't live through those times you have no idea of how bad things can get once order is gone.

You have no concept of the time, work, and leadership necessary to bring order to an orderless big city.

If I had a time machine and could blast you back to 1986 New York City you'd wet yourself.

They weren't times for wokesters wearing shorts, sneakers, and black socks.

It’s worth noting that spending so much on policing is a reflection on our society as much as anything.

But yeah, with all the poorly trained cops mistaking tase guns with real guns—let’s spend less on policing. That’ll fix it.

it's not the government, it's 80% of our nations population that mistrust their neighbors and fellow subjects.........that's why they want them outgunned by the government.............government happily obliges
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

It's more a matter of people wanting to be able to got to work and not come home every day to find all of their shit stolen.

The fact is police rarely, if ever, use their firearms, media distortions aside.

Is Moon a Canuck? If so, him being left outside in the winter one too many times might explain the brain damage.
