Default Second Amendment, “DROP THE GUN!”

So when the government agent demands you DROP THE GUN, is that Constitutional?

How do you feel about them killing someone if they refuse?

    18 U.S. Code § 2071 - Concealment, removal, or mutilation generally
44 U.S.C. 2202 - The United States shall reserve and retain complete ownership, possession, and control of Presidential records; and such records shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.

Good guns are expensive--I know--and dropping them can damage them.
    Hell, they could even discharge.
It's an unreasonable request from that perspective.

"Gently place your firearm on the ground" is the correct command.

Their choice. I'm on the cops side in 90% of these cases.

Considering you are on the razors edge of getting shot it's best to do as ordered. Guns can be replaced life can't.

Anybody who's been around long enough to compare knows that compared to the tough old timers, modern cops are pussies.

The cops that I dealt with as a kid would be truly ashamed.
They didn't draw their sidearms unless it was specifically to shoot you, which almost never happened.
They didn't draw their sidearms because they were afraid of getting their asses kicked like the cops today.

    It's gotten unbelievable, now.
How did that twig Chauvin ever become a cop?
My daughter, about his age, would kiss his ass sideways without breaking a sweat.

All true. But in the old days cops werent sued for looking at you funny or grabbing your arm a little hard when they slapped the cuffs on. They would also jack you in the jaw at the drop of a hat too, and had no problem using the blackjack on you if things got out of hand. The more society takes those things away from cops the more they rely on the gun.

I would agree that it's complicated.
I've been jacked in the jaw, legally, inside of a squared circle of ropes, several times, and I'm here to talk about it.
If I took a .357 (cops had revolvers in those days) in the head, maybe such wouldn't be the case.

Exactly. When I grew up the cops were pretty cool with people as long as you were a stand up guy and not some asshole or hardened criminal. They would cut you slack on the small stuff. But be an asshole and they would have no problem dropping an ass kicking on you...LOL Just a different world back then. Better in a lot of ways.

    why?????
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

Maybe because cops are just like anyone else. A mix of good, bad, and middle ground. Tons of great cops out there.....And yes,...we also have our share of bad ones as well.

So you believe it’s the governments right to disarm you?

You as a boxer will get this more than anyone. Imagine going into a fight and being forced to fight the whole time without your jab . Thats what cops are forced into in a way....

Honestly counselor, don't they miss you at the ticket clinic? All those poor souls with their speeding tickets and the dreaded "rolling stop" citation? You could help SOOOO many people! Don't you remember the thrill of beating the "uncalibrated radar gun" ticket? Get back to work! Your clients need you!
