One of the problems with treating clinical depression in men is the fact that a lot of antidepressants make it difficult or impossible to climax -- both in males and in females. As you pointed out there could also be underlying psychological reasons too (absent medication, that is) but those are probably fairly rare. Even males who can't get it up can orgasm given the right stimulation.
