Mcconnall and the Republican Party trashed the SCOTUS reputation by holding back a legal nomination of a Democratic president out of racism
Time to restore the peoples faith in it by making the court better
You cared, even went back thirty years to find something he said
He is a moderate, does his proposals contain some progressive elements, yes, just as any Republican measures answers to Freedom Caucus demands, however, regardless of what the right wing media tells you, Biden’s infrastructure plan is not New Deal II, and, as Biden has said, is open to compromise

McConnell/Trump packed the court with their last 2 selections. The Dems have a way to rectify the judges placed by lying and cheating. All of a sudden, the reds have principles.

There is no set number of Judges, it has gone between five to ten Justices in different times in history, and in most cases the changes were due to politics, so there is precedent
I believe the thought behind the rush to expand the Court now is due largely to McConnell’s making a mockery of the appointee process. First, he broke all tradition in not extending Garland even a hearing, next he made it a majority vote, and finally rammed thru the last nomination in record time weeks before the election.
The Democrats feeling is, Mitch f*cked this whole process up, so why not, plus the realization he would do the same in a moments notice
Personally, I think the Court should be an even number of Judges, let the case’s arguments decide the verdict thereby removing politics
Sure they were, Bret’s position should have been Obama’s nominee, and to make it even easier, Mitch changes the rules to insure his choices went thru thereby getting the last out in record time weeks before an election.
Might have been by a different means, but it sure as hell was court packing
