98% of CEOs say Biden's tax hike would have significant effect on competitiveness

The Business Roundtable today will release a survey in which 98% of 178 CEOs polled said that increasing the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%, as President Biden proposed, would have a "moderately" to "very" significant adverse effect on their company’s competitiveness.

    By the numbers:

75% of CEOs said an increased tax burden on U.S. companies would negatively affect investments in R&D and innovation.

71% of CEOs said it would negatively affect their ability to hire.

Nearly two-thirds said it would result in slower wage growth for U.S. workers.

Why Biden? Because Fuck You that's why. Barack Obama has a Grammy, an Emmy, a Nobel Prize, 2 terms as President and a Twitter account.

    Donald Trump has 2 impeachments.

It’s difficult to accept that the economic gurus don’t know this. So I’m convinced it’s just a way to mask a tax increase on the working class by ‘going after the Big Guys’.

The tell is the businesses often don’t seem to care.

If they can’t pass the taxes off to consumers and stay within margins they just relocate to somewhere else. Notice that the working class gets screwed in either outcome.

That's exactly right. The businesses just go elsewhere and avg people get screwed. The left doesn't give a shit about people.

55 of our biggest corporations pay no taxes. Nor all costs and tax can be passed on to consumers. If you care about competitiveness, to will go to universal healthcare and take that cost off companies.

Shocking, CEO’s knocking down millions paid in company stock and securities rather than salary to avoid tax are now complaining about raising the corporate tax rates, who would have thought that
