I don't quite remember what piqued my interest in this, but I got curious about the trend in hate crimes against Black people. According to the FBI, here are the numbers, represented as the rate per million of the Black population:

A number of people, including me, have posited that the Obama era produced a white backlash that eventually elected Donald Trump president.

There's some evidence to support this, but it sure doesn't show up in the hate crime statistics.

Still, they're generally well respected and use the same methodology from year to year.

This probably represents reality pretty well.

Will Alexander recently wrote about the mysterious killings of endangered white rhinos in South Africa’s Pilanesberg Park years ago.

The killers turned out to be gangs of aggressive teen elephants who, raised without fathers or role models to “curb their youthful exuberance,” grew up to be troublemakers.

The delinquents fell in line after park staff relocated adult male elephants to the park who “kicked butt” with the compassion of a father and established a new hierarchy.

The violence and killings of white rhinos stopped.

He compared the young elephants to young blacks in urban cities who were raised without fathers or healthy role models and have grown up extremely violent and extremely dysfunctional.

That dysfunction is passed down to succeeding generations because rather than making the hard decisions to accurately define and solve the problem, leaders and activists excuse the bad behavior by blaming all the mayhem on slavery and Jim Crow.

The message? “It’s not your fault.”

How’s that working?

• Blacks are a third of the population in Chicago but commit 80 percent of all shootings.
• In Los Angeles, blacks commit 44 percent of all violent crime but make up 9 percent of the population.
• In St. Louis, blacks are less than a third of the population but commit 90 percent of all homicides.
• In New York City, blacks commit about three quarters of all shootings although they’re 23 percent of the population.

On Monday alone, 16 people were shot and two killed in Chicago, a city led by blacks.

Two teenage black girls killed an Uber Eats driver in D.C. during a foiled carjacking. A knife-wielding black man, 25, was shot dead after he rammed his car into a barricade at the Capitol, killing one policeman.

In New York City, a deranged black man who had been released from prison after killing his mother was caught on camera kicking, stomping, and beating a random 65-year-old Asian woman, while others, including a security guard, watched.

With all the talk of structural racism, equity, and white supremacy, violence has not only gotten more brash, but it’s becoming institutionalized.

Yet, if the woke crowd were successful in transforming the country into an “anti-racist” paradise, we would still be light years away from fixing the dysfunction and disparities in urban cities.

Blaming black crime on slavery and Jim Crow completely ignores the elephant in the room.

We need to be courageous and come up with alternative explanations that are difficult to articulate, but they must be said.

Black Lives Matter as an entity has existed going back to the Baltimore riots, but its impact on the country has truly been felt in the last year.

Following the death of George Floyd, hundreds of millions of dollars poured into the national organization’s coffers, and while that’s been lauded as a win for social justice, at some point, black Americans should seriously start analyzing whether the BLM movement has done anything but make their lives worse.

For example, while local chapters die on the vine, the national organization’s founder has now bought four houses, totaling millions of dollars. Her latest purchase was a $1.4 million home in an almost completely white area of California.

Meanwhile, the black community at large, specifically in Democrat-led cities across the country, are suffering. Things are not getting better for them, and the data proves it. Notice that murder and overall crime rates have skyrocketed in America’s cities since BLM started pushing the “defund” the police mantra.

Take Minneapolis, MN as an example, and one which is extremely relevant.

You’ve probably seen the most recent clips of rioting and looting that took place there after the shooting of Daunte Wright.

BLM immediately organized “protests” that devolved into violence and destruction before a single fact was in on that case.

What did that gain the black community in that area?

Further, Minneapolis has seen a 250% rise in homicides and attempted homicides since this time last year.

So BLM gains national plaudits while black neighborhoods are burned down and black people are murdered in higher numbers. Tell me again how BLM is helping black Americans.

While spending millions on luxury homes, BLM co-founder told college students that capitalism is 'more tragic' than the Chinese disease

Black Lives Matter co-founder and self-described Marxist Patrisse Cullors — who has accumulated over $3 million in luxury real estate in recent years — told college students just last summer that “capitalism" is "more tragic" than COVID-19.

In March, Cullors purchased a $1.4 million home in Topanga Canyon, California — a town near Malibu in which less than 2 percent of the population is African-American. The property features “soaring ceilings, skylights and plenty of windows,” as well as a guesthouse.

Cullors also purchased a $415,000 home outside of Atlanta last year. In 2016, she purchased a three-bedroom home in Inglewood for $510,000, and in 2018, she acquired a four-bedroom home in South Los Angeles for $590,000. The values of the latter two properties have appreciated to $800,000 and $720,000, respectively.

She has also reportedly eyed homes in Nassau priced between $5 million and $20 million.

Despite her large expenditures on luxury real estate holdings, the social activist decried capitalism to an audience of college students last summer.

“While the COVID-19 illness is tragic, what’s more tragic is capitalism. What’s more tragic is racism,” remarked Cullors. “What’s more tragic is our inability to actually create a safety net for communities that are most attacked in this moment by both the crisis and the pandemic of racism, but also the crisis and pandemic of COVID-19.”

Cullors — whose newest real estate holding is far from urban Los Angeles — also spoke highly of business owners who will “take that L” as their property is destroyed in riots, so that “black lives matter someday.”

Mystery of how BLM co-founder could afford millions for 4 houses only beginning to be solved as documents surface

Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, which is not affiliated with Khan-Cullors' Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, called for "an independent investigation" to find out how the global network spends its money.

"If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes," he said. "It's really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it's the people that carry this movement."

But the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation claims to have paid her only a tiny fraction of that amount:

Patrisse has received a total of $120,000 since the organization's inception in 2013, for duties such as serving as spokesperson and engaging in political education work. Patrisse did not receive any compensation after 2019.

Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation co-founder and executive director Patrisse Cullors, a self-identified "trained Marxist," raked in upwards of $20,000 a month serving as the chairwoman of a Los Angeles jail reform group in 2019, according to campaign finance records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Reform LA Jails disbursed a total of $191,000 to Cullors in 2019 through her consulting firm, Janaya and Patrisse Consulting, according to financial records submitted to the California Fair Political Practices Commission. The description for each of the seven reported payments to the Cullors' firm that year read: "P. Cullors, Principal Officer, Business Owner."

It's unclear when exactly Reform LA Jails began paying Cullors through her firm, which is named after the BLM co-founder and her spouse, Janaya Khan. The first payment of $51,000 occurred between January 2019 and the end of June 2019, according to an FPPC report covering that timeframe. The exact date of the payment isn't disclosed in the report.

Reform LA Jail's following report, which covered the three-month period starting July 2019 through the end of September 2019, disclosed four payments totaling $60,000 to Cullors.

Reform LA Jails made additional payments of $20,000 and $60,000 to Cullors between October 2019 and the end of December 2019, an FPPC report covering that timeframe shows.

Reform LA Jails receives funding from the Soros-backed Tides Foundation, which serves to launder money donated to it by wealthy leftists and foundations, passing it along to various left-wing causes.

To be sure, Cullors has written a book and gives speeches, which can be incredibly lucrative. But I wonder if there might be other nonprofits out there, other campaign committees, and other funding vehicles that have given her and her lesbian partner the financial wherewithal to lay out millions for the purchase of far-flung properties, plus the ability to pay taxes on them, maintain them, and of course fly among them. It takes more than a couple hundred thou a year to support that kind of lifestyle.

Underlying all this controversy is the basic fact that a person who fans the flames of racial discord for fun and profit, in the name of helping the oppressed, chooses to live as far as possible from neighborhoods where the consequences of that unrest will be felt. But according to the wealthy foundation that has raked in 90 mill, even raising these questions is "a narrative ... generated by right wing forces" and "continues a tradition of terror by white supremacists against Black activists."

So, say nothing about the trained Marxist getting rich off the suffering of black people.

These are the facts: This year to April 12, 52 black people were fatally shot by police, just three of whom were unarmed, and 109 white people suffered the same fate, five of whom were unarmed, according to a Washington Post database.

Yet the media and allied activists only scream when police kill a black person.

The majority of Americans, especially leftists, wildly overestimates the number of unarmed black men killed by police.

For instance, 53.5 percent of those reporting “very liberal” political views estimated the number to be 1,000 or more deaths in 2019, when the actual number of unarmed black men fatally shot by police was 12.

A lot of the media is invested in this false narrative and will not let it go, no matter how much mayhem it unleashes.

For instance, before he resigned, Brooklyn Center Police chief Tim Gannon gave a press conference in which he mentioned the riots the previous night, and was shouted down by activists posing as reporters. “Don’t do that,” they scolded him. “There was no riot.”

“There was,” he replied. “An officer was injured, hit on the head with a brick [and] was transported to the hospital.”

Gannon was trying to be upfront when he released Potter’s bodycam footage and said she had mistaken her gun for her Taser.

But the media was only interested in reinforcing their racism narrative. Wright was “driving while black” was a favorite headline.

A Minneapolis Star Tribune columnist wrote that Wright was pulled over because he had air freshener dangling from his mirror. Shots from the bodycam video show no air freshener existed from the start to the end of the police interaction.

Pulling Wright over wasn’t racist. He was driving with expired license plate tags.

Arresting him wasn’t racist. He had an open warrant related to an armed-robbery case for a case in which he allegedly choked a woman and threatened to shoot her.

Wright should not have died, but racism had nothing to do with it.

When he resisted arrest, jumped back in his car and attempted to escape, police had good reason to try to stop him.

Hate crimes in the US rose to the highest level in more than a decade last year, according to an FBI report.

Hate-motivated murders also rose to a record high in 2019, with 51 deaths - more than double the 2018 total.

Last August, 22 people were killed in a shooting targeting Mexicans at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas.

Hate crimes have been increasing in the US almost every year since 2014. Campaign groups warn this comes amid rising bigotry and racist rhetoric.

"The latest rise in hate crime signals a new brutal landscape, where targeted attacks against rotating victim groups not only result in spikes, but increases are also being driven by a more widely dispersed rise in the most violent offenses," said Brian Levin, executive director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University.

The FBI's annual Hate Crime Statistics Act (HCSA) report says there were 7,314 hate crimes last year, up from 7,120 the year before - and the highest number since 7,783 were recorded in 2008.

A hate crime is defined in the report as offences "motivated by bias toward race, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender, and gender identity".

The data showed a nearly 7% rise in religion-based hate crime, with a 14% increase in crimes targeting Jews or Jewish institutions.

It also found anti-Latino hate crime rose 8.7% from 485 in 2018 to 527 in 2019 to the highest total since 2010.

The killing of 22 people at the El Paso Walmart last year is the worst hate crime attack ever recorded by the FBI, according to the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism."

Domestic terrorist attacks have risen to historic levels, a new study shows.

Domestic terrorist plots and attacks in the United States have skyrocketed to the highest rates recorded in a quarter-century, according to an analysis by The Washington Post and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

CSIS, a nonpartisan nonprofit that specializes in national security issues, has been monitoring extremism since 1994. There have been 267 plots or attacks and 91 fatalities since 2015, most of which came from the far right.

Left-wing extremists made up 66 incidents, which led to 19 deaths.

In 2020 alone, far-right extremists committed 73 domestic terrorist incidents, an all-time high record. In total, CSIS has recorded nearly 1,000 incidents since 1994.

Some attacks are harder to decipher, whether it is left or right. However, The Post uses the attackers' court records, social media postings, news accounts and other material from local, state and federal law enforcement authorities to “refine the types of extremism involved in each case,” reporters wrote.

Predominantly Black churches have been attacked and vandalized at least 15 times in the past six years, one of which was the New Shiloh Christian Center in Melbourne, Fla. The church was set on fire three times in early 2015, and there were no suspects.

On the far-left, 25 crimes were committed in 2020, including at least seven incidents targeting the police with guns, firebombs and graffiti.

The Post stated left-leaning crimes were during national protests in response to George Floyd's murder.

“What is most concerning is that the number of domestic terror plots and attacks are at the highest they have been in decades,” CSIS director of the database project Seth Jones said. “It’s so important for Americans to understand the gravity of the threat before it gets worse.”

“January 6 was not an isolated event,” FBI Director Christopher A. Wray told the Senate Judiciary Committee on March 2. “The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now and it’s not going away anytime soon.” "

Asian woman brutally beaten in suspected hate crime


A racist attacker brutally beat an Asian woman who was walking to her church in Midtown on Monday morning — as a security guard in a nearby building watched and did nothing to help, according to police and footage of the incident.

The unidentified suspect spewed anti-Asian statements as he punched and kicked the 65-year-old woman on West 43rd Street near Ninth Avenue at about 11:40 a.m., according to cops.

“F–k you, you don’t belong here,” the brute yelled at the woman, according to sources.

Video footage of the assault provided by police shows the suspect kicking the victim to the ground — then stomping her in the head several times as she was down on the *sidewalk.

Several men from a nearby residential building witnessed the crime, the footage shows, but did not try to help the woman.

One of the men, who was undoing packages, watched the entire incident unfold, the footage shows. Two other witnesses — who appear to be building security — walked over to the door as the attack ended, but did not chase after the suspect.

In fact, one of those men appears to shut the building door as the attacker takes off and the victim lies helplessly, according to the video.

The suspect was still being sought early Tuesday morning.

A doorman at the building where the surveillance video was recorded said on Monday night that he was unaware that the attack had taken place.

The victim, who suffered a fractured pelvis, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, authorities said.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating, police said.

Hate crime charges have been filed against a King County man for alleged violent, anti-Asian behavior, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said.

Christopher Allen Hamner, 51, was arrested Thursday for allegedly attacking and threatening multiple victims because of their perceived race, court documents show.

Seattle Police say on March 16, Hamner threatened a Pamela Cole, who is Asian American, and her two children while they were stopped in their car at a red light at Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Graham Street.

Cole says they were leaving a school event and were at a red light when Hamner made eye contact with her, jumped out of his car and started yelling at her ‘F--- you, you Asian b----. F--- you!'

She says she was in shock and didn't know what to do but then started to worry because she didn't know if he had any weapons on him.

"As a parent, I thought I couldn't protect my kids and that was the worst thing," Cole said.

A few days before the attack, Cole attended a rally at Hing Hay Park against Asian hate and said she knew she couldn't be silent about her attack.

The prosecutor’s office says a few days later, Hamner allegedly targeted two other victims because of their perceived race. According to court documents, he followed the two victims in their car, cut them off in traffic and then got out of his vehicle and charged at them while yelling obscenities.

Police have arrested a man in connection with two unprovoked assaults that left two Asian men with serious injuries.

In both cases, the suspect used mass transit to flee the scene of his crimes.

San Francisco police arrested Jorge Devis-Milton, 32, on suspicion of committing multiple violations in connection with two assaults in the city Monday afternoon, including the following: assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of battery causing injury and aggravated mayhem.

At about 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Mission District, Devis-Milton cut the face of a 64-year-old Asian man and knocked him to the ground, police said, before he fled into the nearby BART station at 16th Street and Mission Street.

A bystander provided first aid to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said that about 30 minutes later Devis-Milton attacked another person — a 59-year-old Asian man from Vallejo — who was walking in the 600 block of Market Street.

A witness told police that the suspect ran up to the victim and punched him in the head multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground where he remained motionless. The suspect fled the scene and got on a bus.

Less than 24 hours later, police recognized Devis-Milton at 16th Street and Mission Street and took him into custody.

Man arrested in attack on elderly Asian American woman who blacked out


A man has been arrested in connection with a brutal attack on an elderly Asian American woman in White Plains, New York, police said Friday.

Nancy Toh, 83, was spit on and punched near the Westchester shopping center on Tuesday, police said. She hit the ground hard enough that she "blacked out momentarily," White Plains police Capt. James Spencer said in a statement.

Toh's face and hip were injured, and she possibly suffered a concussion, he said.

She reported the attack on Wednesday, Spencer said, adding that police focused on Glenmore Nembhard, as a suspect and found him in the area Thursday.

He was arrested and charged by the Westchester County Office of the District Attorney with felony assault in the second degree with intent to cause physical injury to a person who is 65 years of age or older, said spokesman Dan Weiller, by email.

The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County, which handles public defenders for the region, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. According to jail records, Nembhard's next court date is Wednesday.

District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah said in a statement Friday that the possibility a hate crime occurred was still under investigation.

The media loves to churn out, "What we don't talk about when we talk about X" pieces. Those pieces are invariably talking about the things that the media talks about non-stop. Meanwhile, many of the things that it does talk about have notable omissions.

Anti-Asian hate crimes are constantly talked about, but not who's committing them.

Oakland’s Chinatown has suffered over 20 attacks against the elderly and women in two weeks.

The wave of attacks against Asian people in Oakland, like the previous attacks in New York, are being carried out by black men with criminal records, not by "white supremacists".

Chinatown community members have been accused of “anti-blackness” for talking about the violence they’re facing in a city and state that no longer believe in fighting crime.

The San Francisco Gate has run two op-eds, from both angles, while politicians fidgeted nervously about a no-win scenario. It's easier just to condemn racism without addressing the perpetrators in question.

And that's a rerun of the wave of antisemitic attacks in Brooklyn which were met the same way.

Meanwhile, the woke contingent keeps talking about the "trope" of black-Asian Conflict.

In this hilarious Brookings piece, two wokers try to blame Christian nationalism.

"Because some of the video-taped perpetrators appear to have been black, some observers immediately reduced anti-Asian violence to Black-Asian conflict. A recent poll finds that in fact, Christian nationalism is the strongest predictor of xenophobic views of COVID-19, and the effect of Christian nationalism is greater among white respondents, compared to black respondents. "

Except that the perpetrators of the attacks are still black. But look, we have a poll.

Incidents like these lead to a lot of "conversations" about prejudice while attributing it to Americans in general. The specifics of the incident are quickly transmuted into a national sin even when the perpetrators are black or Latino.

And they often are.

After sifting through thousands of hate crimes from across the country committed by thousands of criminals, the final breakdown is that of 6,406 known offenders, only 52% of the perpetrators were white, and around 24% were black.

The FBI measures Latinos as an ethnicity, not a race, so the white racial category of offenders also includes Latinos.

Asians couldn't even break the 1% barrier.

America's demographic distribution comes out to about 60% white, 12% black, 18% Hispanic, and 5% Asian leaving us with the inescapable reality that Asians are not doing their part.

Admitting the existence of black racism was tough before, but now in the era of 'white privilege' and cancel culture, it's impossible. It can't be dealt with, only dismissed as a trope.
