Solar will still work in that case, only not as well. The watt-density of sunlight and the efficiency of the solar panel determines the output regardless. The real question is since we know that solar panels only last 15 to 20 years in service and then need replacement, and that existing panels are nearly impossible to recycle, how long will we have the raw materials to make more before we run out of them?
