We have a generic term for the disease in this pandemic. COVID-19.
That is how we should refer to it.
It is the politically correct way to mention it. Being politically correct is a way to show that we care about our fellow Americans.

Historically we name pandemics after the areas of origin, west nile, ebola, zika, etc.
origionally we called it the wuhan virus but china embarked on a propaganda campaign to call it racist.
Black people are not sucker punching asians because we call it the wuhan flu or whatever, they have been doing it for years. Remember "the knock out game"? go look to see who were the perpetrators and who were the victims.
