Wisconsin's Statewide Mask Mandate.......

....... is no more!!! We have finally joined in with the other sensible States who do not require mask wearing at the State level.

Our not-yet-fully-compromised State Supreme Court just told King Evers to shove his illegal mask mandate where the sun don't shine. The court reasoned, as I did, that Evers was violating State Statute 323.10 (by ignoring the 60 day limit on his emergency order, and by ignoring the wishes of the legislature when they eventually revoked his order, and by making "different orders" regarding the same damn thing in an attempt to circumvent the clear language of the Statute).

I expect that many people here will immediately rip off their masks and enjoy freedom once again (as many of the people who I've spoken with, due to them noticing me walking around mask-less, were only begrudgingly complying with the State mandate). Others who I've spoken with were fellow non-compliers. I haven't had a single woke-Karen experience to date, though I do know some people who have.

Of course, those who are slaves to their own fear will continue to don The Mask.

WI is one of the best states regarding the pandemic and vaccinations thanks to the great leadership of Governor Evers.

Regardless of the ignorant anti-vaccination movement, we are doing what is necessary to get back to normal.

Hopefully businesses don't fall for the foolishness of the "it is just the flu" and continues to require masks on their own. Counties and local businesses, we are counting on you as the legislature failed again.

Last I saw the mRNA's are 94% effective, and that if you do get COVID it will tend to be more mild than if you had not done the jabs. However, it does appear that this bug will get around the vaccines sooner rather than later, and getting reformulated booster shots is a recipe for disaster.

I get the legal part of it... Evers knowingly overstepped to save lives. Like Lincoln (not a direct comparison so don't go crazy), he overstepped multiple times for the greater good. History judges him kindly but at the time, not so much.

If the legislator was willing to do anything besides honor a dead divisive racist, Evers would not have been forced to act as "king".

Sometimes what is right is also against the rules. I believe what he did, and what trump did initially with his data driven open up plan was the right thing. Unfortunately, this became political. What everyone forgets, Evers and trump initially agreed.
