Default One Award Romney Truly Deserves

Most Americans never got to hear that Ted Sorensen wrote Kennedy’s Profiles in Courage, or that Bill Bradley scored an embarrassing 485 on his verbal SAT, or that John Kerry’s grades at Yale were “virtually identical” to George W. Bush’s, or that the teacher in Quayle’s classroom held a flashcard with potato misspelled, or that the scanner that ambushed Bush 41 was so new it surprised the camera crew as well.

The award from the JFK Library Foundation is named after former President John F. Kennedy’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1957 book “Profiles in Courage,” most of which was written by Kennedy’s speechwriter Ted Sorenson, according to Sorenson’s 2008 autobiography. Recipients are often liberals, such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who received it in 2019; former President Barack Obama, who won in 2017; or the late Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), who took home the prize in 2001.

This is why Mitt Romney deserves the award:

    Massachusetts Governor Romney Signs KennedyCare

To the Parasite Class, establishment Republicans sucking up to Ted Kennedy for 46 years was the benchmark for courage. The only act of ‘courage’ Romney ever committed was shoving his nose so far up Senator Kennedy’s (1932 - 2009) ass Democrats had to pull it out so they could close the lid on the casket.

The question is why any conservative should listen to anything a two-faced Mormon says?

Romney could not beat the lying sack of shit in 2012. Romney was so inept the Chicago sewer rat’s second burglary went off without a hitch. To be more accurate his inept campaign strategy kept the race so close Obama got away with stealing a second term.

Obamacare —— passed in 2010 —— was so despised by American voters it gave Romney realistic expectations for a victory in 2016.

In truth, KennedyCare was a weight around Romney’s neck from the start in that he was never able to distance himself from ObamaCare. Romney considering a second run for roses in 2016 put out feelers for immigration reform.

Mitt Romney said Friday that he hopes an immigration reform measure will be signed into law before the 2016 presidential election, a striking posture considering his hard-line stance in the immigration debate during his 2012 campaign for president.

Aside from being a Wall Street sharpshooter:

The great criticism of Mitt Romney, from both sides of the aisle, has always been that he doesn’t stand for anything. He’s a flip-flopper, they say, a lightweight, a cardboard opportunist who’ll say anything to get elected.

The critics couldn’t be more wrong. Mitt Romney is no tissue-paper man. He’s closer to being a revolutionary, a backward-world version of Che or Trotsky, with tweezed nostrils instead of a beard, a half-Windsor instead of a leather jerkin. His legendary flip-flops aren’t the lies of a bumbling opportunist – they’re the confident prevarications of a man untroubled by misleading the nonbeliever in pursuit of a single, all-consuming goal. Romney has a vision, and he’s trying for something big: We’ve just been too slow to sort out what it is, just as we’ve been slow to grasp the roots of the radical economic changes that have swept the country in the last generation.

Romney's main problem with everything he says about immigration reform comes right out Ted Kennedy’s mouth. In short: Immigration reform means amnesty for illegals, or a pathway to citizenship, or permanently open-borders, or whatever Karl Rove’s Republicans try to sell to conservatives in every election. Basically, sending illegal aliens back to their homelands is not included in immigration reform reform to Democrats or Republicans.

In fact, Obamacare and open-borders was so despised by American voters Donald Trump campaigned against them —— got the nomination and won the election.

Finally, I said this on January 2, 2019:

After he is sworn in Mitt Romney will thank Trump for the endorsement by giving him everything he deserves for being so stupid.

After taking another look at my original analysis, I can now see that President Trump endorsing Romney for the Senate did it for their pals on Wall Street.

Is Mitt Romney stupid? I understand that Mitt is an accomplished businessman and has a truckload of elite education credentials. But that doesn’t make him a smart politician.
