Nobody died "as a result of" the guidelines.

Whoever has died has almost certainly died "as a result of" IGNORING the guidelines.

I rather their grandparents get it first and those medically at higher risk.

what is the infection rate among teachers nation wide?

    That's a one off.

Most 30 year olds are not at risk to die from Covid like an elderly person. Plus, very few children in schools even have it. At least not here.

Congrats! Very happy for you. We got our first one last Friday; get the 2nd three weeks from tomorrow. We are starting to feel a lot more hopeful that things are improving. The infection rate up here for the last month has been about what it was last year when this whole thing got started. Restaurants are open again for inside dining, at 25% capacity. We go out and eat once a week now. It's nice!

If there's one place that puts one in danger of being infected by some sort of bug, it's a school classroom.

85 year old grandmothers can and should be staying at home anyway.

Especially in this day and age where you can have your groceries delivered to your front door without ever having to leave the comfort and safety of your own home.
Or 65 year old grandmothers, or lots of other elderly people who do have contact with others and will die much sooner than a young healthy teacher.

DeSantis is on the money on this one. Like he he has been with every other decision.

Dying isn't the only consequence of a COVID infection. Look up "long haulers." In addition, that infected 30-yo teacher will go on to infect others, who will then take it home to their parents/g-parents and other ppl who ARE at greater risk of dying from it.

You don't stop a pandemic by making sure more ppl get infected.

The Biden Administration is recklessly releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants who have COVID into Texas communities.

The Biden Admin. must IMMEDIATELY end this callous act that exposes Texans & Americans to COVID.

Dozens of newly released migrants test positive for virus; ‘Hundreds’ of border agents are South Texas-bound

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — A confluence of immigration-related events are creating a surge of asylum-seekers in South Texas during this dangerous COVID-19 pandemic, and a South Texas lawmaker says the situation is increasing so rapidly that additional U.S. Border Patrol agents are being sent en masse to the region to assist, Border Report has learned.

In the Gulf Coast city of Brownsville, 108 migrants released during the past month have shown to be carrying the coronavirus, U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, said Wednesday. And he says that is putting the South Texas border community, as well as the volunteers who help them, and the border agents, at risk.

“They tested some of the people who got put at the bus station in Brownsville and according to the rapid tests, about 108 tested positive. So basically that creates a situation that they are letting people who are positive (for coronavirus) get on buses and with the permission of Homeland Security they can go anywhere in the United States,” Cuellar said during an online news conference.

DeSantis is on the money on this one. Like he he has been with every other decision.
Tell that to the surviving family members of young, healthy health care workers and first responders who suddenly became ill and died from this crap.

Being young and healthy is no guarantee by a ling shot of avoiding the disease.

And DeSantis is a spineless, gutless Trump ass-kisser on this.

Just like he has been with every other decision.

    Utter horse shit.

Everyone is at some risk of dying.

Many young healthy people have died.

Teachers, by the very nature of their jobs, have to be closed up inside of a small enclosed room for 6 hours per day with dozens of children, any one or several of which, can be carriers.
