Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

So why does Biden think they are bad and Obama didn't?

Was Biden speaking out then about the books?

He is in charge of the department of education so if he doesn't know what his own people are doing then thats even worse.

Did he know about their decision to remove Dr. Suess?

Seriously, I don't know what the controversy is. All Biden did was omit any mention of Seuss in his proclamation of Read Across America. The proclamation is at this link and there is no mention of any other author in it, either. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-...rica-day-2021/

It was a "Virginia school district [that] announced its refusal to celebrate Theodor Seuss "Ted" Geisel on Read Across America Day, which falls on the author’s birthday, because of a study that showed the books are filled with “orientalism, anti-Blackness and White supremacy.”

Pretty sad that you guys are making this about Biden, over something he didn't say.

Seriously, I don't know what the controversy is, either. All Hitler did was omit any mention of Jewish authors, composers, and artists after he gained power. What's the big deal?

NO authors were mentioned in the proclamation, leggiecrite. Seuss wasn't being singled out.

Now when you can show that Hitler had a proclamation called "Read Across The Third Reich," you'll have a point. But you can't so you don't.

Read across America was and is a Dr. Seuss event which is held on the authors birthday of March second.

The decision to stop publishing six books by his company was seized on by the department of education who wrote Biden's speech as a way to tear it away from Dr. Seuss and make it some watered down thing filled with nobody second rate minority writers.

The fact that Biden didn't know it was a celebration of Dr. Seuss so didn't find it strange that he wasn't mentioning Dr. Seuss just proves he is a fucking idiot.
