That $12/hr is meaningless, since many, maybe most, work less than 40 hours per week. Same for Home Depot.
It used to be that companies kept people who needed to work at least 40 hours a week in order to float their nut from working more than 30 hours and often 20 or 25 because they wanted labor a cheap as they could get it....they did not value their labor...they fucked over their labor.

But America is now rotting out so fast that competent labor is increasingly hard to find, and when you do find them you work to keep them.

People with skills, like butchers or specialty managers get paid more at grocery stores for their knowledge. It's only the unskilled, or low training requirement jobs that get stuck at or near minimum wage.

Also, the wage curve is not a flat line, but more like a bell curve with some kurtosis in it:

The median wage is a good indicator of what most wages are, and far better an indication than minimum wage is.

Yeah. That's the problem. Maybe at $15 he can go live somewhere else. (you know, move into a place with his girlfriend)

It is not about 15. It is about 9.50 this year, 11 bucks the year after. 12.50 the year after that and in 2024 15 bucks.

We tend to reference fast food workers when we think about minimum wage. Even though they earn more than minimum wage. A $2 beverage yields about $1.80 in profit, assuming the cup costs $.10. Raising the cost of a drink $.25 will more than cover the cost of labor. Even though $15/hour isn't a livable wage, it will push people over the threshold for public assistance. Most conservatives should be applauding that.

LOL. She can live on 'zero' income.

How will she wash between tricks?

    That is different for everyone.

A single person can live off far less then a family of eight.

So what is a livable wage, the one for the single person or the one for the family?

You would need to establish different livable wages but then that doesn't work either.

What is living on your own?

Is that living in your car or an apartment or a house?

Is it living in San Francisco or Alabama?

Is it the guy with no debt or the guy with mountains of credit card and medical bills?

So explain what a livable wage is please.

    so you're waking up then?

buden/kamala are full of shit, eh?

trump was trying to eliminate slave labor as competition for american workers, but you are evidently too brainwashed by multinational corporations to see that.
