But the latest COVID-19 data on the Johns Hopkins COVID Tracking Project shows right now the positivity rate in Texas is at 13.5%. That percentage is higher than what it was on Oct. 7, when Abbott issued his COVID-19 restrictions orders. The seven-day average of deaths per day is at 227, which is a 91% increase from Oct. 7.

no, little chickenshit, science is not on your side, fool, or democrats would not be laughing at your stupid fuck trump-like ass. get it? how do you think we, and other states who had mask mandates and realistic covid mandates designed to bring down infection rates, got to these rates- by opening everything up and not mandating masks? look at the graph below....Texas has shown great progress, from how high it was just a while back....but it just recently started to rise...in many categories...and even now, at a low rate compared to a month ago or so, or two months, it is still about where it was at the height of the first real covid breakout during the summer.....we are now back to where it was when Abbott said we had to stop this virus back in the summer!!

On March 2, when Abbott said everything was coolio now, nothing to worry about, Texas new case count was 7747. On July 2, the day Abbott said we had to wear masks to stop the covid spread- the new case count was 7434, lower than when he SIGNED THE MASK MANDATE!!
