If after decades of IRS audits in detail, if they couldn't find anything then a bunch of non-tax professional lawyers aren't going to find anything.

It was insurrection...which all but the most dense realize.

I hope those who participated spend LOTS of time in prison, thinking about Trump on the ourside playing golf.

They were suckers then...and are suckers now.

    Okay. Bet on that.

I think tax charges are what will stick...and I am becoming more and more convinced that Trump will spend time in prison...or under very strict house-arrest. (With no golfing...and no gold toilet seats.)

Going to be very interesting to watch it all play out, and this is why trump desperately wanted to be re-elected, he was untouchable while in office, now he is open to State and Federal prosecution.
Agreed in general. Specifically, Trump has lost most of his ground with the Republican leadership. Threatening to kill the VP and most of Congress was certainly a major reality check for them. Among most Trump voters, he's also losing ground. What Trump does or says at CPAC may see that trend level off or continue to drop. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...able-5493.html

That said, just as both Bill and Hillary have fans who believe the Clintons can do no wrong, there will always be those who feel the same about Trump. In the end, like the Clintons, Trump will cease to be an influence on American politics.

Care to wager on the outcome of multiple trials that this was more than a "riot"?

What is the difference, in your opinion, between a riot and an insurrection? IMO, a riot is simply a violent protest. No more. An insurrection is an attempt to overthrow the current government. Specifically, to overturn the results of the election and kill off opposing leadership including the Vice President.

I'm not a lawyer, tax or otherwise. I'm content to sit back and watch the show. Care to make a wager on the outcome? $10 donation to the forum in the winner's name? I say Trump will be convicted of a tax violation, you say he's "100% not guilty"?

Pence is now saying that he still has an amicable relationship with Trump...the guy who tweeted more vitriol toward Pence while he was in a precarious position with the insurrectionists.

The Trump supporting Republicans are beyond disgusting.

Which is a very curious thing for him to say. I wonder why? Do you think his hands are a little dirty?

"The Trump supporting Republicans" before or after the election? Before or after the deadly Insurrection?

Sure. Given that the charges are known, and that of the several hundred charged right now:

None were charged with insurrection, terrorism, or anything like that.
The most common charges are trespass, property damage, and disorderly conduct.
There have been a handful of weapons charges and the number of firearms charges can be counted on the fingers of one hand with some left over.
Conspiracy is getting added to many people's charges. I personally think--and have long thought--that this "crime" is incredibly wrong within the law. That the authorities can charge you for want amounts to a "Thought crime" is horribly wrong.

Here's a full list of who's been charged and for what. It runs 34 pages right now.

    So, I'll win that bet.

A riot is disorderly conduct by a crowd of people with property damage and trespass. An insurrection is a concerted attempt to take over the reigns of government. Since the whole thing lasted an afternoon and Congress went back to work the next day, it clearly wasn't an insurrection.

Good luck getting an answer to that question, I have asked several times and none have ventured to reply with an answer.

There was only one goal, just like the goal of the House Reps and some Senators, overturn an legal election and turn the US into a Dictatorship, there simply is no other answer. Heck trump was calling people that were hiding in the Capital in fear for their lives and trying to get them to overturn the election. The members of Congress involved can hide behind "procedure", those that invaded the Capital are on their own now, some even know it now.

Some probably were, that does not change the Fact that your boys went there with a mission in mind, they just failed.

Simple question, do you support what was done at our Capital on January 6, 2021, Yes or No?
