This one time I was maybe 16 and from the grapevine I heard that a dude from Brooklyn
pulled up and approached one of the juniors car, pulled out a 22 or a 25 and popped in the
leg. He's right there. To keep him out of trouble he was sent to Sicily for the summer. I think
toe went with him and a few others. They would always hang out with each other. My mothers
a seamstress. They all came back more normal than you'll ever imagine. Very happy kids!
But do to the instability of Ridgewood at the time. The boys were having a rough time and the
juniors watched everything they did. Madison park was ruthless at that time. That little park
off Fresh pond across the street from the fruit and vegetable store. You see the guys hanging
out on the bench by the track. That's a couple of them. At least the ones that were able to
stay alive. They were so notorious they didn't care if they died. Once the sun went down. The
streets were a ghost town. Stomped on his hand and punted his head. There he is in the park.

I lived up the block for many years before moving here.
