There is no free market and never has there been one. America's first tariff was installed in the 1780s. I read we have over 1200 of them.
    Learn sarcasm, retard.

So Biden is educated on transportation and distribution? I'm so much relieved!

Trump supported leveling tariffs that favored other nations. Don't you?

Biden is educated on exactly nothing.

Yet Trump used tariffs to achieve his objectives. Still waiting on how tariffs caused secession in the words of the secessionists, and not in the words of 20th Century apologists.

Yea... Central planning, government five year plans, collectivizing farms... It all has worked so well for failed states like the Soviet Union, N. Korea, or Cuba....

That we agree on. You made that unclear in your quoted post above.

Trump wanted to even the tariffs, making America more competitive.

"The main grievance of the Southern states was tariffs. Although slavery was a factor at the outset of the Civil War, it was not the sole or even primary cause. The Tariff of 1828, called the Tariff of Abominations in the South, was the worst exploitation..."

Neither slavery nor tariffs were, in themselves, the sole contributors of the failed secession.

That is just a flat out lie. The secessionists were 100% clear in their secession documents that they were leaving over slavery. Why do people always choose to ignore the men who actually seceded, and instead go with the ignorant crap that was later written about the "Lost Cause?"

VP Alexander Stephens stated that the cornerstone of the CSA was which of the following?
    A: Slavery
    B: Tariffs
C: The Stone which the Builders Rejected

I read your link, I'm not so sure I agree with it. If a tariff were in place what foreign competition would the South have to bitch about? Seems to me that was protectionist.
