I will give him kudos for one thing he has managed to tear apart the GOP singlehandedly, always give credit where credit is due.
He turned the nation into one big episode of the Celebrity Apprentice.

That was what he did to the contestants. He started adolescent infighting within the teams.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

No doubt several Masters and Doctoral theses will be written about Trump and the times that saw him elected.

IMO, Trump didn't just become President. It was a combination of factors such as a rising angst and subsequent racism on the Right allowing Trump to become the nominee combined with a major distrust of Hillary. A should become the subject of a few papers herself noting her rise and fall.

True, but it's a binary choice; it was either Trump or Hillary sooooo, it was Trump. Democrats should run better candidates.

Totally agree on that, I voted in 2016, except for President, neither was fit for the office and out of disgust I simply ignored the two BS choices being presented. That said they did in 2021, though a younger face would have been better, then again the goal was to beat trump out of his precious office and that was accomplished. It should be interesting to see who the candidates will be in 2024, Harris, maybe but who knows, I seriously doubt trump will even try running though he may scam the cult out of more Millions, so who knows. That said the GOP had better get their house in order or it may not matter who they run as they would not have the support to win.

meh, I think voting the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil and compromising ones integrity and ideals. but you do you sir.

and anyone who is willing to vote for Harris should get their head checked.

I didn't vote for either both in 2016 or 2020. I chose Libertarian knowing there wasn't a chance, but to leave a mark. The mark was that, despite all the wailing from the Left about Hillary's loss and "3 million votes", she still only won 48.2% because of Third Party voters. More people voted against Hillary than for Hillary. Same goes for Trump, of course, but with three million less votes. LOL

The one term, twice impeached, never won the popular vote Donald Trumpf certainly tapped into an undercurrent of racial resentment, xenophobia, and economic anxiety.

It is weird how it all turned into a cult.

Agreed, but if you are inferring that only racist, xenophobic and poor Americans voted for him, I disagreed. Yes, he tapped into and weaponized that subset of America. The Trump cult where thousands of Americans threw away their careers on a fantasy by attacking the Capitol.
