You have to prove they intended their speech to result in violence. That violence must happen immediately as a result of that speech--not days or weeks later.

To compare Trump's speech with Democrats saying "fight" is indeed lame. Even Trump's speech is doubtful it would fit the criminal definition of incitement although it is certainly much closer than anything the Democrats said.
