They are never going to leave. They are never going to change their views. They are disgruntled people who have messed up their own lives and are seeking to take it out on the rest of the world. We can have excellent political discussions among polite people of both the left and the right as long as we are considerate of one another.

What democracy?? The United States was never a democracy.

Currently, the SODC is an oligarchy, implementing fascism. This is what the Democrats have done to the federal government.
The States of America are currently deciding whether to align themselves with the SODC, or to secede and attempt to reform a United States under a constitution, or a republic.
The two territories, the SOTNY and the SOTC, are aligned with the SODC (at least their governments are).

The propaganda and hatred from the governments of the SODC, SOTNY, and SOTC have reached incredible levels, all directed primarily against one man, but against any that stand up for a republic as a form of government.

You wanted a split. It's already beginning. Unfortunately, civil war cannot be avoided now.
