I'm not technically young, but I am probably among the youngest 5 posters in this forum. Your perspective is skewed because you are very old and surround yourself with very old people. All your incessant mumblings, including about "honorable kings", also indicate a mental illness.

Which explains your ignorance and immaturity. Thanks for the insights.

What have you been doing for the last five years? Have you not been shaming liars? I know I have been. I know most of the people I know have been. I know that most of the responsible media have been. Interesting to me that you would blame, inadvertently no less, the US's current situation on "society" rather than Trump, his cultists, and the Republican party.

Leave your foot in your mouth. I prefer it there.

I don't have "to demonstrate the applicable reality of libertarianism" because I never made that assertion nor is it ever what we were talking about. The premise of the conversation, if your addled brain can recall it, was YOUR eloquent and thought-provoking statement that, "Libertarianism is crap, dude."

And the tantrum is a thing to behold. The Republican party, whatever that means anymore (but especially old, white, straight, Christian people who don't know what's true and what's not true and live to lie), makes me think of an only child that never had a rule in his life. Was never told no. Never had to do a chore. Never had a curfew. Then at age 24, after finishing six years of undergraduate education without a degree because the university was a leftist indoctrination factory, the adult child gets a job. Boss says, "No, I'll pay you $35,000, not $150,000. You don't get a parking spot. You have to be here at 8:00 every morning. Now please order lunch for our meeting and set up the conference room before you sit down and create some spreadsheets for your young, black, lesbian manager." The meltdown has only just begun.

The Repubs are a different story, and the split is already visible and both Republicans and Trumplings have both talked seriously about either taking over the GOP or splitting away since the two cannot coexist, that is happen Now, not down the road. Any Party going through a power struggle/split will be hurt in the elections and will be hard pressed to win or hold high level seats, so for the GOP the sooner they resolve their issue the better for them.

In the end, when that will be is to be determined, my guess is we will end up with four Parties and not the the big two. Yes we have other Parties already, but none have been able to attract enough of a voter base to really be a player. Personally I like the idea of more Parties, it tends to keep any one ideology or politician from dominated the government.
My wildest political dream is to have a multi-party system. Not only would it ideally force formation of coalitions, but it would hopefully retrain people to not see things in binary terms and as a zero sum game.

I haven’t followed the thread so I apologize if this has already been discussed. I’ve voted third party before. And I’ve heard it all from ‘you’re throwing away your vote’ to ‘its a cop out’ etc. etc. I disagree but to each his own.

You say you support multi parties. What’s your take on people currently voting third party?

I also have voted third party, I helped elect Clinton by voting for Perot. Won't make that mistake again.

I also voted for Perot and, like you, after Clinton won, went back to voting Republican. Mitt Romney was the last Republican President I voted for because I couldn't hold my nose long enough to support the direction the Republican Party had been heading since 2000.

Disagreed you or I "helped elect Clinton". We're no more guilty for voting our consciences than the Democrats who voted for Nader in 2000 helped elect GW Bush.

Americans should vote their consciences. Period. Holding one's nose and voting for the lesser of two evils is unAmerican, IMO. We should all do our duty are our minds and hearts tell us to do.

Colorful and apt. I fear that since their fears are largely unjustified and they still occupy an exalted position in society (any team photo of the Senate will due)
what they might do if they really suffered loss of station. Not like they are slaves in Rome washing my shorts in urine.
